Great tripod for the money!
I bought this to carry onto a plane because my other tripod is way too big. I like the compact size and weight. I agree a little that it's not quite as sturdy as hoped. That said, it held my camera and lens, which are pretty heavy (D810 and 28-70mm lens) just fine. I did not have any trouble with the legs collapsing as some mentioned. I didn't care for the ball head, but the head from my other tripod fit on the 3/8 screw, so that was great! I'd recommend the tripod. Not sure about the head it comes with as I didn't use it.

Good Bang for your buck :D
Got my tripod/monopod with ball head and already itching to go outdoors with it but the rain put a stop to that. Indoors I opened it up and figured it out fairly quick. Unlocking and extending the legs is a simple twist and pull and locking the legs again is reverse twist. Felt pretty sturdy with my T5i on it . I feel it's pretty good for the money and good features. The monopod is a 2 piece deal, you unscrew the one leg with gold around the top and then remove the neck of the tripod and ball head to complete the ball head (don't forget to unscrew the hook on bottom of the neck before you put em together ).All in all I like this tri/monopod combo very much. I would recommend it to friends :)

A light weight tripod/monopod well suited for travel.
I purchased this tripod for it's light weight and versatility. It has a nice ball mount head which simplifies positioning the camera and uses the popular Arca quick mount system I use for panoramas. As a light weight and compact tripod it does have a few drawbacks, namely how much weight it will support, it's total height comes up a little short if you are 6 feet or taller, and the legs flex a bit making it not quite as steady as a medium or heavy duty tripod might be. Still if you need a tripod and don't want to tote one of the heavier tripods around, this is the tripod for you.

Awesome for price!
Insanely awesome for the price! The twist-locks for leg extensions make it very easy to extend the legs to where you want. The legs have a little piece at the top that you have to push in to lock them down... The reviewers who said the legs couldn't hold a DLSR need to look a little more closely. Legs fully extended and center post fully extended, it is a little short for me at 6'3". Collapsed it is unbelievably small - <15" when in the bag. The carry bag is really nice. I got this for a pair of binoculars (Canon 15x50 IS AW... pretty heavy). I leave the plate on the binos so just a quick turn of the knob locks it on. Works great and is light for hiking.

First impressions. update in Feb. 2017.
Right out of the box I can't help but be overwhelmed with the smell of cheap Chinese paint. Lead paint? can't tell. All the locks in the legs are lined with plastic sheaths. I hope these last.Feet are large and made of rubber tapering to a wide, blunt point.Legs only lock in 2 positions each.Monopod is simple to put together after looki g at a photo and sacrificing a leg and the head off the tripod.I would like to say that I had requested the seller to suspend and terminate the transaction as this is not the tripod I had intended on purchasing for the project I'm working on. It seams the email was ignored. We'll see where it goes

A LEG ABOVE!
The size and ease of using is really super. It is a little difficult to get the legs to stay in their positions. You have to turn the legs to lock them and there seem to be an issue with "ME" on that procedure. Once you get the legs locked...it is good to go. I had a Canon Rebel with a LONG Telephoto lens on the tripod and it was firm as a rock. Was able to get the picture I wanted. You can fold everything up and slide it into a carrying case that comes with it. Nice unit and well worth the money.

Found however that I could use t for an easy to travel for a camera that would mount and ...
kinda flimsy and so the price for this is a little to much for this product. I would not trust my expensive camera on this for I would be afraid would due to the sturdiness of it. Found however that I could use t for an easy to travel for a camera that would mount and not cost to much to replace. Yet I believe first wind would knock this over. I would recommend to get one that is made of a better material the cost is really to much the make of this.

Tripod would have been nice
It’s lightweight and sturdy just not what’s in the product photo.
