What a game changer! An extra person needed to be sure draining hose goes into bucket. to refill pitchers of warm rinsing water, to help tipping basin to drain the soapy water. I would not use the plug- only secure the drain hose. Design wise would be better if drainage hose was on the side nearest head and the hose longer- but overall- a blessing to have and adjust to make it work.

I use this to soak my scalp when my psoriasis gets itchy. It's easy to fill ( better than filling a whole bath!) Does not tip. The only thing i would say is that the head rest is a little high for a soaker, but I know that's not its intended purpose. I just tip my head sideways. I add about table spoon Epsom salts, a calcium/zinc/ magnesium pill. A drop of tea tree oil and some mct oil and my scalp calms down nicely. The drain can be awkward so make sure it's somewhere you want it to drain when you take the plug out.

My Mom, 82 with dementia, resists getting her hair washed. I needed a way to wash her hair without getting water in her eyes. I found this and it is wonderful. It’s made of a thick, good quality plastic.

I bought this product to use for shampooing a loved one's hair that is bed-bound so that they don't have to struggle to use the shower quite as often. This product definitely has its positives and negatives. A positive is that it makes shampooing for my loved one take much less time than before and it can be done in bed with them lying down! This product also works best for short hair, which is a positive for me as my loved one prefers short hair. However, after five uses the drain plug doesn't stay in as well as it did the first couple of uses so I have to make sure the drain hose is always connected and draining into a bucket at all times during the process. In addition, the plastic shampoo bowl is not that stable, especially when filled with water and someone's head placed in it, so I have to make sure to have a couple of towels underneath it to catch any water that spills over accidentally. Overall, this product has been a game changer for cleaning up my loved one and I would recommend it so long as people are aware of the possible negatives that must be dealt with

This thing has been a life saver. My mom is bed bound, and we have been having a time washing her hair. We had one of the inflatable basins, but it kept getting holes in it and we just got tired of fixing it. This basin though has held up great and is so much more convenient and easy to use.

It's a great basin. My only issue is the stopper doesn't stay in and will pop out. I had to use packaging tape to seal the opening.

Great for bed-bound

A close relative is permanently in a hospital bed. Needless to say, her hair needs cleaning every two weeks. This pan works extremely well as she only needs to raise her hear about 6 inches to shampoo her hair. Fits well in the bed and does not leak or spill water easily. This is a perfect solution. It is highly recommended.

I had purchased previous hair washing basins, however the quality of those was inferior to this one. I am extremely happy with this product as it is hard plastic so should not break. It held water well and afterwards drained quickly and efficiently.
