I've just started collecting this pattern and when I decided to collect a whole tea service, I purchased these. Who's not familiar with this company and this pattern. Anyway, the set came in a Royal Albert box. It was carefully shipped and arrived safely. I'm very pleased with my purchase and can't wait fory 1st tea party

Beautiful for any event
When I came to USA for permanent living and saw this product in the store, I just love it. Couldn’t buy it though for financial reason. And now after 30 years of my blessed life I have bought almost everything in this pattern just to enjoy our meal with my family and my friends.

Royal Albert Old Country Roses
Royal Albert Old Country Roses are still a very nice set of dishes, even though now they are made in Indonesia, and not in England. Not many things are made in original countries anymore, look at the USA. Did you know that Royal Albert, Royal Doulton and many other old English china companies are now owned by Fiskars Corporation, a company from Helsinki, Finland? Royal Albert Old Country Roses is still nice for serving afternoon tea. We have a whole set, even a three tier serving tray and my wife enjoys putting on afternoon teas for family and friends.

The glaze and finish on these plates are very good . Classic and still very nice .

We eat off our plates , this particular plate is a replacement for an unfortunate breakage but doesn't quite measure up ie it is of a smaller diameter than the original and I might add that recent cup/saucer replacements have been heavier than the original indicating that more material was necessary to provide similar strength , which is a nice way of saying that they are of inferior quality.
