First off I read more reviews than I care to think about, I looked at neoprene vs this HG80 material and having used many off the shelf neoprene type cheap braces before was swayed by this feature regardless of negative aspects out there. Amazon easily besting everyone on the price.I got a pair as I have badly torn Cartilage in both knees despite 1 already being operated on. Carry over 15kg extra weight over an 8 to 10 hour working day and was looking for a cheap miracle to stop the pain. Put simply they work, movement is very good, stiffens the joint slightly but can run with ease, keep cool over the 10 hr period worn and no noticeable extra sweat but you know you are wearing them as they are prone to slippage over the course of the day but then I expected that. Velcro as others have said is far from perfect but can easily be remedied with some heavy duty addition when it fails. For the money I am very impressed.

I played regular 5 a side footy ever week, and about ten years ago i had key hole surgery for a minuscule tear, and have been wearing a vulcan knee brace ever since, its the elastic bandage type,and has worked fine for a hour and half of footy, it did slip though.Last Jan 2013 i fell badly while skiing and the experts said ive snapped a cruciate ligament, i didn't want to give up on footy and skiing so after eight months out of footy, i decided to try the Mueller Hg80 Hinged knee brace,for footy and it is the most comfortable brace ive tried so far, the knee is still a bit sore, but the brace holds my knee very firmly but does not impede my playing, things are looking good and i feel confidant enough to try a skiing trip this coming season, so dont give up, try one of these, they are very affordable, and should get you back in the action.

This is a very lightweight knee brace which you hardly feel is actually on your knee. I have done ACL in both knees and I have 2 completely different brands of knee brace. This is considerably light and actually feels like it's holding your knee in place.I knocked 1 star off due to an annoying thing where one of the velcro straps always seems to make it's way loose when I'm running. Not a big problem but enough to make you constantly bend down to re-adjust.

I had an ACL reconstruction two years ago following a ski accident and have been on the hunt for a suitable knee brace to support my knee in future ski trips. This brace has been fantastic. Lightweight, comfortable for a full day of skiing and provided ample support and also piece of mind! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has undergone an ACL reconstruction who wishes to get back into skiing but is nervous to go without support.

I read a lot of reviews on various braces before choosing this. I am glad I did this. Have no doubts it is an excellent brace. Comfortable, sturdy and well made. The joints move well and after some time you do not realize you are wearing it. The only reason I did not give 5stars is that it does not grip very tight on the thigh and as a result it may slip. But all you have to do us pull it up again. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely brilliant!! My husband has arthritis and regular knee flare ups and we needed something to help him be able to ski for 4 days. I'm a physiotherapist and was very impressed with the quality of the brace for the price and the support that it offered. My husband reports that it is extremely comfortable to wear and made him feel like the knee was protected. It also allows a great range of movement enabling him to ski and play tennis. He did still have some pain but he has significant knee weakness on that side and I didn't expect for it to completely go, it was however greatly reduced. An excellent buy, thank you!

Very good piece of kit to wear. I've used it for skiing and felt very reassured. I always carry it in my backpack even when out for less dangerous adventures (dangerous for my knee at least!!).....size wise: following product sizing chart I found the L to be slightly over sized and the M very tight! However, I wear it over an elastic sleeve or thermals in winter and it proves very comfortable. Recommended!
