Paired with 4 metre pole this enables me to trim really high branches. This replaced a 30 year old version, which still fits the 4 metre pole but the new one cuts a lot more efficiently. The new one uses more pulleys than the old one, which gives a better mechanical advantage, although this results in having o longer pull travel on the cord. Would highly recommend.

Replaced ancient lopper that used to be my dad's. It was lovely to have something cut so easily but it was surprisingly heavier than the old one. That or I am just getting old and out of shape. Called son to the rescue in the end. Purchased a separate anvil style lopper for thicker branches.

Bad buy, this is a top unit to fit the pole extender, looks the part but, in operation usless, jams all the time, unwieldy, the cutting stroke is so long,you need arms a lot longer than mine, gone back to my original loppers, much better.

This is my third cutting head, they do not last 25 years, more like 10. The thing that fails is always the spring. Although the spring is listed as a spare part, I have never been able to buy one. Gardena do not reply to emails, due to staff working from home.

Really pleased with the length of these. These are much easier to use than the ones where you have to pull a handle free from the device -makes cutting easy. Strong, good quality.
