Major traction upgrade — excellent braking and control
We installed this tire on my wife’s mountain bike here in the Colorado Rockies, where we ride frequently on steep, rocky terrain. This was a significant upgrade over the stock tire that came with the bike. The braking traction is excellent, and it feels very predictable on descents. My wife immediately noticed improved control and confidence, especially on loose and technical trails. Setup was straightforward, and the tire has been holding air well tubeless. Overall, this tire made a noticeable improvement to the bike’s performance. Excellent traction and control — highly recommended.

Good tires
When I bought my son a bicycle, the shop owner said the latest craze was smooth tires, and he swore by them, so I said, ok, I'll take it. Few days later, my kid tells me he keeps sliding and falling when he hits grass, well, no kidding. Came to amazin, and got a set of these tires. Easy install, my 10 y/o did it, and he loves them, good traction, and not a hard ride like the smooth ones Fast shipping, and right price, just be careful when ordering, there is a difference in front and rear, and they are directional

Boy Howdy 🤠
Trek X-Caliber8 2021 29” 2.3 DHR II F/R Boy Howdy, these tires are amazing!!! I’m running two DHR’s front and back. My bike is an XC bike and I started MTBing the beginning of this summer. I use my bike for everything from long rides, bike parks, trails ect. I live in Denver so there are many options when it comes to biking. The XC tires that I had before were great on pavement and could launch you really fast like a rocket on flat surfaces. Where they felt short however was uphill and on loose terrain. As I’m progressing, my ability to do some things were starting to become hindered. The tires just didn’t have enough grip when I needed it and they would either spin out or it wouldn’t give me confidence on certain obstacles. Then was bestowed upon me the MAXXIS minion DHR II. And a light came down from the sky and said upon me, “Thou shalt have the power to shred”. Hahaha Okay but for real. When you hear people review tires and they say they’re “aggressive” I finally felt what that meant. These tires grab and allow you to go hella fast down single track while keeping consistent stability. They’ll whip you through berms and allow you to move side to side with a feeling, that they just want to stick. Which is great, because that will give you more confidence to use more movement and momentum on the bike. I honestly feel like I go faster on the trails/Singletrack with these rather than my old XC tires because you clearly have more control. However, on pavement they do seem to be a little bumpy because of the deeper knobs but only if you pay attention to it. Another thing is the they’re not as fast on flatter surfaces and understandably. If you’re looking to upgrade your bike buying tires can completely change your ride. So when it comes to the MAXXIS Minion DHR II’s I can only think of one thing to say about them which comes from the great Billy Bob from Varsity Blues, which is, “ I GIVE IT A TEN!!!”

Bought these tires for my son’s bicycle and he automatically fell in love with them. They are solidly made and perform great on any terrain. Can’t think of any bad thing to say about the tires. 5 stars all around for quality and value

Great MTB tires!
Great MTB tires. Installed on kids 20” Giant STP. Slimed them and haven’t had a problem yet. The boy is super happy to have some more traction!! (Now if I can just get him to stop skidding his new tires!) Would buy again (and probably will).

The most traction!
If you want grip, this is the tire for you. For steep downhill riding this is my favorite tire. I’ve only run it on the rear, but it works extremely well back there. If you like to slide the back of your bike around a lot, get something different (like an aggressor). Because this tire grabs like glue (even in a hard compound). I actually prefer the hard compound when I’m not racing as they last quite a bit longer. I’ve had great success with Maxxis tires. They mount up easily and hold up very well.

Good grip. Great value compared to most other sites. £28 per tyre is around half price. Fit was a little tight, but most higher end tyres are.
