INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron, 1 Inch, Purple

I bought this to have a cheap, functioning flat iron at my boyfriend's house so I didn't have to schlep mine back and forth all of the time (and risk forgetting it as I have done in the past!) I have been using flat irons for close to 20 years now, and this one is amazing! I was stunned by how well it worked, so much so that I had to come here to write a review--something I rarely do. I have very coarse, dense, wavy hair, but this iron straightens quickly. Don't let the price tag fool you! The results last longer than the $200 iron I got for Christmas six years ago, although it might also be that one is on its way out and it is no longer functioning at full capacity. I really can't recall. :P One of the reasons I decided on this iron over others on Amazon is that it has the automatic shut-off feature. While I rarely forget to turn off my iron, I have left my old one on at home before. Because of that, some mornings I go into work wondering if I actually did turn it off! It is nice to have the piece of mind knowing that I'm not going to unintentionally burn the place down! I went with the 1-inch iron for two reasons. I have always used a 1-inch. It might take a little longer but gives better precision styling and curling, in my unprofessional opinion. Also, I LOVE the purple! I have not used the sample oil that came with the iron. I appreciate it was included, but right now I'm all about the keratin treatment I discovered at Walmart (It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin). Highly recommend for hair like mine. I bought this to be my backup iron, but I've decided to swap it out to by my main iron at home and bring my old one to my boyfriend's place. That's how much I love it! One little caveat to my review--I just got this iron and have only used it twice. I have no idea how long it will last. Like many lower-priced products, they don't tend to last as long, but as I mentioned with my $200 iron that is six years old, I have a feeling these things need to be replaced every few years with heavy use anyway. I hope this review helped! Enjoy this great steal. I know I am. :D UPDATE: I originally left this review on December 17, 2018. It is now November 12, 2025. THIS IRON STILL WORKS!!! So there went my theory that it would need to be replaced in a few years. It outlived my $200 iron. Wow.

Excellent product! I have a lot of very curly but fine hair, and this flat iron made my hair super shinny! After using, my hair had body, lots of movement and felt so tangle free. Also greatly reduced frizz, made my hair feel sleek. Would recommend to use heat protection with this as it can get very hot (455’d).

I needed to find an affordable flat iron that got the job done. I researched tourmaline and found that irons having this gets hair straighter for a longer period of time than just ceramic alone. I typed "tourmaline" into the search engine and this product came up. After ordering this product it came in the mail after 3 days which was great since I did the super saver shipping. It's shiny and the right color; has great grip. I am an African American with fairly course hair so I can't wait to see how this product straightens my hair. I actually tried it on my mother's hair and it worked great. It straightens well and it can also curl!!! It leaves hair with a great shine if you apply a little bit of the argon oil before blow drying. It heats up as fast as it said it would and the heat settings are pretty effective. It is pretty long and the plates don't completely meet all of the way but this would be the only downfall. You just have to squeeze the iron harder when straightening. It still leaves hair straight and I put the temp. on 21 when it goes up to 30. Overall this product is a 4 out of 5 and I would definitely recommend this flat iron to anyone on a budget!!!

Very good quality! Straightens hair quickly without too much damage. Small enough to travel with but big enough that you don’t need to spend hours using tiny portions of hair. Wide range of temperature control is also a huge plus!

I LOVE HOW STRAIGHT & SMOOTH THE FLAT IRON MAKES MY HAIR. IT WAS TOTALLY VERY EASY TO USE & THE SIZING & WEIGHT OF THE FLAT IRON IS PERFECT TO PUT INSIDE MY SMALL PURSE. I TOTALLY LOVE THE DESIGN OF THIS FLAT IRON COMPARED TO OTHER BRANDS!

I've been around the block with straighteners over the years, having tried them all I no longer pay any heed to the long litany of descriptors attached to them. Ceramic, ceramic tourmaline, tourmaline ceramic, jade, ruby, pearl and what not!! It's plates that heat up and melt the dead protein on your head. Buy from a reputable brand with a good long warranty and you're all set. Having said that, I have been very impressed with this set, really does heat up in seconds as advertised, does not snag at all (glides through hair so smoothly that the first time I used it I was convinced the plates were defective and were simply letting my hair slide free! :D) I set the heat at 15 and that does the trick for my normal hair, only takes a couple passes to get a satiny smooth look. It's a superb straightener, but an even better curler, I just twirled it through my hair just now so I could add demo pics to this review. It curled the ends of my hair in seconds with even less heat than it took to straighten it, vintage barrel curls here I come!! Available in attractive colours, nice long swiveling cord, long curved barrel that's perfect for curling, auto shut-off and light weight. It has all the features of much more expensive models including a floating plate for a reasonable price. All this plus a 5 year warranty makes this a very good buy in my book.

This is honestly a great hair straightener. I just had to find the right temperature for my hair. Once I did I fell in love. Leaves my hair shiny and my hairs stays pretty straight all day. It has an auto shut off and cord is long enough. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a good hair straightener at a good price. Btw I’ve been using this for a year now and still works as good as it did the day I opened it up. My hair texture is wavy and frizzy, but you would never know it after using this tool.
