Easy Grab 3-Quart Oblong Glass Bakeware Dish, Clear, Medium (1085782)

Pyrex is my go-to so I checked out amazon to see if I could get free shipping after my roommate broke my other one...not because it was poor quality but because of the cardinal glass rule: if the baking dish is hot it needs to be transferred to cloth/a cooling tray and not directly to a hard surface. Knowing this tip will hopefully save a few of you injuries/shattered glass/a messy clean-up. I thought this was common sense but apparently common sense isn't common.Awesome deal on this item and I'm sure I will have it for awhile as that roommate no longer lives with me. :)

The dish is exactly as pictured. As it's by Pyrex, instead of the other glass manufacturer I hope it's made of real Pyrex glass, not like the imitation glass used by the competitor. That glass can spontaneously shatter, so I'm hoping this one won't.The dish's size allows it to be nested conveniently in my 11 X 14 glass baking dish, so it fits in my cupboard well.

I bake and roast with Pyrex every single day. I have Pyrex pans in all sizes. I like them because I hate to scrub metal pans. I pop this into the dishwasher and let it do all the work. This is a glass item, so be careful not to exceed the recommended oven temperature. Never use it on a stove top. If it does break, it will shatter into tiny pieces, but they are not sharp. They are like the safety glass in your car windshield. I have broken one or two, but it was my fault.

For those who didn't know. Pyrex changed its formula a few years ago to save money. The Pyrex bakeware that starts with a capitol P is the original recipe. This is the one that can usually take the shock of sudden changes in temperature. The Pyrex wares with the small p used for its name is the newer formula. It shocked alot of those garage chemists making illegal stuff that, apparently, need that change in temp to make their product. And the measuring cups exploded in their faces. So, look for the name Pyrex, if you want the good stuff. Not pyrex. They hid this change in plain sight!

I cook a casserole or two every week. These are super solid. I've bought them in store, on Amazon & received at my bridal shower. They last long, cook well & are a great size. If you get any stuff that cakes onto the handle area & won't come off with regular washing, use a brillo pad! I was scared it would scratch the glass, but nope. It took off all the baked on oil and it looks like brand new now!

I already have different set from this brand and it's great to buy good quality product such as this. At least it works for me and I like it. It's sturdy,again and it's working great in oven. It's been just a month o so since I got it but so far no complain ont it all. I never had any complains on anything from amazon items.

This glass cooking pan is ideal for baked chicken or other foods. The best feature is that there are handles on it. These are not the usual projections on the ends, these are true handles. These handles are large enough that using a pot holder to lift the pan is easy. Anyone who cooks a lot (especially baking) will love this baking dish.

You can make a double batch of 9x9 brownies with this pan. I use it surprisingly for a lot of things. I wasn't sure if the shape would be awkward or not, but it is fine. The handles are a really nice bonus. It is very easy to clean and it looks brand new as the day we got itHighly recommend.
