I am sensitive to foods high in FODMAPs, mostly onions, garlic, some fruits, etc. I avoid eating any more than small amounts of these foods, but I have found that if I take 2 of these pills before a meal, I can safely eat more than I usually do. I can eat at a restaurant that uses way more garlic than I would, for example, and I won’t have any side effects at all. No bloating, IBS, or skin flare ups! It’s really remarkable. I’ll also use these pills before eating a potentially traditionally problematic meal like beans and same thing - no symptoms. While I only take them as needed due to cost, I’m sure they would work amazingly if you took them every day. They’re well worth the price and work better than anything I’ve tried over the last 15 years, even the expensive refrigerated probiotics. I’d be lost (and bloated) without them!

I would like to say that I had been suffering from oil surfacing in the toilet for nearly a year. I just got lazy and knew I had absorption issues but I was tired of all the different protocols.I decided to try one more time and found these with the raving reviews.I use one per meal, so three per day.My digestion has been slower (which for me is a good thing since it used to just go straight through me) and that has given my body a chance to absorb.After just one week of use there is no more oil surfacing in the toilet.And a crazy unexpected side effect?I noticed within days that my skin is over the top soft.My skin is generally soft anyway… But once in a while I’ll get bumps on the back of my arms if my body’s trying to process something out.I can’t stop feeling my face lol and my arms are like a baby’s butt.It just makes me feel like I finally got the right cleaner to come in.I did read the reviews around the possibility of taking too much. I have been feeling a little fatigued lately, so I’m going to keep that in mind and maybe after another few weeks pull back.But all five stars for now with fingers crossed!

Powerful stuff.I've only used this a few times so far, but all signs point to it doing its stated job of helping digestion.I want to echo the words of warning written elsewhere though: this is *powerful* stuff. I've previously been taking NOW Foods Super Enzymes, 180 Capsules and Digestive Advantage Probiotic Gummies Daily Supplement-Survives 100x better than yogurt and leading probiotic, Natural Fruit, 80 Gummies on a regular basis and have been pretty satisfied, but I like to occasionally mix things up with my supplements to prevent body acclimation and other issues from long term use. The first time I took Digest Gold I was nearly doubled over in pain and had a long night coping with what I had just eaten. Over the past week I've been taking it once a day with my largest meal (usually right after instead of at the beginning) and the side effects have been going down.I would *strongly* suggest being very careful your first time with the product and use it on a day off when you're at your own home. After you're used to its effect on you (or as the effect decreases as -- presumably -- your body returns to a normal level of any missing enzymes) you can start taking it when you're eating out or in other locations. If you're taking other supplements (like the probiotics above), I'd suggest maintaining them during your first trial of this product.

This is the only thing I've found that actually works for me. I am lactose intolerant, have problems with all kinds of other foods, (cheese, and other dairy products of course) I have never been able to eat beef without ending up on the floor within 20 minutes in pain or any other heavy meat products. But, if I take one of these as I am eating, I never have to worry. I don't eat meat any more at all, because the experience was so traumatic for me that it makes me sick just thinking about it. But sometimes my stomach just gets bloated for simple things. So I always take one of these when I eat a meal.The only problem I have with it is it is definitely not inexpensive. So at times I am not able to afford it, which can become very uncomfortable. I have given up other things just so I can buy Digest Gold.

Have had Fibro and severe ibs-d for 30 years, Have tried other brands to no effect. These however work almost too well. Had to take 3 dulcolax and milk of magnesia every 2 weeks for ANYTHING to get through. Landed in emergency twice for help. Now, one of these per day and Daily Regularity is nothing short of miraculous. This hasn't happened in 30 years!Since I have had constant abdominal pain with the ibs, these don't make it much worse and even relieve the pain the following day, all day, which has never happened before. Tried to take it with no food, big mistake, tried it with morning protein shake and again not a good idea. I have to take it with the largest meal of the day, usually dinner, which has a small amount of fat. Then no problem and It's been working for 6 days now.Everyone is different and it might not be the right thing for you, but if you're going to try it, try it with the largest meal and see what happens.

I use Digest Gold every day with the two largest meals of the day. It was recommended to me by a Functional Nutritionist a few years ago and I use it every day as a digestive. It has other benefits as well as it contains several amino acids. It’s easy to swallow as it’s a capsule rather than a pill. It has no after taste. I think it is good value for the money as it’s a quality product that comes highly recommended.

If you take it with every meal, you might get diarrhea.
