Best bit holders
I've been an electrician for 18 years and I've tried a lot of bit holders but like these Dewalt ones the best so far. They are sturdy and lock the bits in place until you pull the release at the base which ejects the bit. Because of its design it's not too wide so it fits in tighter spaces, some other quick release designs are pretty wide. Because it locks bits in place you can stack two to get the reach you need if you only have the shorter ones. Normal magnetic bit holders are ok but sometimes the bit will get stuck in the screw if you're using an impact screw gun but these will hold them till you release them. However, over time they can break. The only problem I had was the release outer cover (the black part at the bottom of the silver bit holder) coming loose from the actual inner release mechanism which I just fixed with a channel lock and some ingenuity (wink wink). Nothing lasts forever but these are worth the long life that they do have.

It’s good quality, straight, and easy to use
This is a great solid extension. It worked for what I needed it to work for easy to use the end that goes in the screw. Gun isn’t round it hex shape so it has a very great grip. The length is what I needed and I would recommend this one.

Very tuff & slim.
I like the pull to release mechanism. Nothing about it made cheap. Having said that, Milwaukee has the same lengths available as dewalt. Their's even feels more heavily made. Milwaukee's has 2 fatal flaws though. It's wider so it can't fit through as small a hole as Dewalt's. The biggest flaws is that if you were fishing it into a small hole or tight spot and snag the shaft/release mechanism it releases the bit. You will yank the wall down before Dewalt releases the bit as it must be pulled backwards towards the drill or impact. I have used these for a long time and have had zero issues. I have great faith in this product but still don't believe I would try to drive in a 1/2"× 8 inch lag with it. I have driven 3 1/2" deck screws into places where I needed more reach and was to lazy/tired to go get a solid bit of appropriate length. In my opinion as a handyman, Dewalt extensions are my go to. I own all the sizes. Hope this helps you make your decision.

Very low profile shank, and secure locking mechanism
I used this extension for running spade bits inside of walls to fish wires. I really like how pulling / tugging cannot release the latch and disconnect the bit.

did not break
Drives 12g lags with no problems, haven't tried anything bigger. Luck of the draw with these, the bit release sleeve can fall off prettu easily. Mine is holding up, fingers crossed. The narrow profile is handy for tight spots.

It does what it's supposed to
Works well, holds bits nicely. Easy to swap bits. Long enough for most tasks you'd need something like this for.

Fits the Bill
When you need to reach deep and not lose your bit or the fastener, this holder is awesome.Really tight bit connection and strong magnet.

great
if you need an extender - this is the one. tough and also importantly, very thin so you can fit through holes of smaller diameter drill bits
