Solidly built / quality hardware
The: Tripp Lite Metered PDU, 20A, 12 Outlets (5-15/20R), 120V, L5-20P / 5-20P, 110-127V Input, 15 ft. Cord, 1U Rack-Mount Power (PDUMH20) black; was the best choice for my custom built Portable UPS Cart project. It paired well with the 2500 watt, 120 volt, 20 amp hour inverter, with built-in transfer switch, that I needed to use for uninterrupted backup power to several devices. I especially chose a PDU with built-in amp meter readout display for monitoring the connected loads. The unit seems very well built and I already have an acquired confidence in Tripp Lite products that I currently own.

Nice.
If you need something like this, it's a great choice.Tripp-Lite makes great equipment at quite reasonable prices for the quality. You can get cheaper, but it's cheaper. Electrical equipment has to have tight connections and be assembled correctly or it's a fire hazard, so spend the money. These are great, I have multiples of them and I'm very happy with them.Keep in mind with today's proliferation of transformer-equipped power connectors (wall warts) that they're really unsuitable for use on a PDU of this type. You'll end up being able to use the one outlet in front and every second or third one on the back, depending on the transformer size and configuration. It will eat up your outlet access with the quickness.Tripp-Lite has a solution, it's not metered, but it's a PDU with wide spacing and vertical orientation of the outlets. I have a couple coming in and will daisy chain them into these metered PDUs to free up the outlets on the back.Take that into consideration if you're just starting an order, you might want to get both.I saw some packaged together like that (too late) on Amazon with a modest discount associated with buying the two pieces together.Plan on putting the metered PDU in your rack above the wide spaced one you daisy chain into, or the transformers and power cords will interfere with the configuration of the outlets on the back of the metered PDU, and you'll be right back where you started.Need to plug in a pile of conventional plugs and know how many amps your drawing? These rock.

Worth the money
The media could not be loaded. Works as described, it does move power around when needed. Works great over a year no issues. Thanks

Units work as described and are the perfect fit for my application.
I’m not sure what’s up with some of the negative feedback on these units. Per the NEC, you can’t place a continuous load (defined as 3 or more hours of operation) on an over current protection device. The 24A max loading on these devices is there to protect would-be home electricians from violating the 80% loading rule, which = 24A on a 30A circuit. I’m not a licensed electrician, but worked for one for many years. If you’re loading an OCPD to 100%, both the wire and breaker are going to get hot- eventually leading to a trip condition. These protections are there to keep you from burning a house down. If you actually need a full continuous 30A, you either need two circuits- or a sub-panel. There are *very few* exceptions to this guidance, and almost nobody meets them (they also require a breaker rated for continuous load). The hardware works fine and does exactly as it’s supposed to do. Happy, and safe customer.

Does the Job, but I don't trust the AMP meter
Short Review: It works for what I bought it forLong Review: I'm not entirely sure if I trust the Amp Meter. I bought this so I could know how much I was pulling from my wall, but I had calculated a bit more than this thing is telling me.A little perspective: I'm running a Dell R510 w/10 drives, Dual Xeon CPUs, and 64GB RAM, a Cisco 2821, a Cisco 3750, a Ubiquiti ER-X, a modem, two wireless access points, a monitor, three laptops, and a raspberry Pi. I have everything plugged into a single CyberPower 1500VA UPS and it only registered 2 amps after plugging in my monitor.I rated this four stars since it performs the duty of a power-bar as well as it can. My only complaint is my skepticism on the AMP meter. I feel like my setup should be pulling more than 2 amps, but maybe I'm just dumb when it comes to this. If the meter is accurate then I learned a lot, but I feel like it is on the low end. Also, it doesn't register any current until two amps are present. I searched for this and found that a few people had no current reading until >2 amps. This was true on mine as the bar read 0 amps until I turned on my monitor. The display instantly jumped to 2 amps after this.

OK product.
Unit works fine, metering is decently sensitive. Read full description prior to purchase, though. 15Amps is peak, not continuous. Continuous capacity is actually 12Amps.I've not loaded my unit fully, and have no clue how long it can remain at peak before the breaker jumps. A minor flicker in my power the other day did not come through the audio of an amplified PA system running on it at a load of 10Amps. So far, so good.

Tripp lite quality product
I have several of these and they work great. Obviously you need to draw at least 1 amp for the lcd to go from 0 to 1. No decimal places. The paint on this is a dark gray colour. Rack mount ears can be moved to the back if you need that.Update, after almost a year still 5 stars. Verified the meter with another device and it is definitely accurate

Only one Bank works
Out of box only one bank works. Bank one breaker does not stay on. Returning.Update-contacted support and they are shipping me a new pdu. Good service.Maybe not. Saying the are not in-stock for 6 months… now. Back one star

fits right, works great
works great as my homelab PDU, gives a rough idea of power usage of my rack (its not terribly accurate, but its close enough to say "ok I doubled my power usage" has enough plugs for everything in the rack, cord is of a good length, I'm happy with it and will probably keep it for awhile

Great quility pdu
Went a different way and returned it but very quility PDU shows amps and has all the c14 connections you would need to max out the amps
