Good choice for new pen collector
I've only started using fountain pens a few months ago and I ordered this due the the price point. I find myself reaching for it often. It's light weight. I like the fine point and the cap posts securely... It's a nice everyday writer for the price!!

I love this pen.
Brief back ground. For a long time, my Platinum 3776 I bought back in 1980 was the only fountain pen I've used regularly. Before that, two more fountain pens, one was Pilot(Pilot Short) and I don't remember the other one.I've been very happy with my Platinum 3776, so I had no doubt in what I could expect. My first impression on Plaisir(white pearl finish, fine nib).1) light weight, for me, a pen can't be too light.2) Nice finish, very pleasing color. I later found out that the finish is extraordinary durable. I was expecting some sign of wear after repeat of cap and un-cap, by the experience from other pens. After two months of regular use, no sign of dullness. It still shines like new.3) Stainless-nib, it works just as good as 14 k gold(as my 3776 has) nib. It felt a little rough at first but by the time first cartridge was finished, it was noticeably smoother. It's almost as smooth as 3776 now, which has impressed anybody tried it. The nib is not flexible, just like all other general purpose writing nibs. I won't be hesitant to choose another stainless nib if I was given a choice between gold nib and stainless nib.4) Cap & Seal: it really works! I had problem with 3776 for needing a priming (writing something on the paper until the ink flow becomes consistent after it was left a few days unused). There's no need for such worry. It writes with full flow of ink from the first letter on the paper. It's a remarkable improvement over the older models.Cons? Some of you may find some cheapness about it, like the band around the cap. It is a cheap pen, it can be bought at $10.-. I have no complaints as long as functionally good.I'll get another one of these or a few of Preppy with different ink colors. If you have never tried fountain pen before, any fountain pen, you'll like how it writes compare to other types of pens, Unlike other types of pen, what fountain pens do is just sliding over the paper with no resistance unlike other types which requires you to push the tip down on the paper and smear the ink on the paper. Another advantage is evenness of the line thickness. If you've been dissatisfied with your hand writing, fountain pen makes your hand writing look much better.

Good value pen
The Plasir is the same excellent pen as the plastic fantastic Platinum Preppy, except that it has a sturdier metal body. Same stiff steel nib, same cartridges. It writes beautifully, and is sturdier than the multiple Preppys that I broke. I did have problems with minor manufacturing defects. The cap doesn’t fit tightly on the body, and the nib wasn’t set right on the feed. But for the price, it was still a good value.

Best price for a beautiful, exquisite fountain pen!
The only issue with the order is the seller said it originally was shipped & returned to them so they had to ship it out again - not sure if that's what happened but it came soon after the said they reshipped it. About 2 weeks but that's after waiting a month or so. Anyways, it was worth the wait because the price is the best your going to find anywhere, and it's an exquisite fountain pen. It's extremely, incredibly smooth to the touch - softest feeling barrel & cap I've ever felt, truly like silk and feels marvelously luxurious. The silver ring middle section is beautiful, pairing nicely with the light pink color and has a nice etched design including the brand's name & the models name. The nib is superb as Platinum nibs are known to be; an exceptional writer with even ink flow, and a smooth glide along the paper's surface. The only thing I would mention, although the clip looks nice & fits the pen's design well, still I'm willing betting it's not a practical one; but I only consider them an important embellishment, however I thought I'd mention that in case anyone needs a sturdy clip. The pen came with one Platinum ink cartridge, so you'll need to buy more or a converter. This seller has a few for a good price so I'm going to buy it from them! I'm very satisfied with this order and HIGHLY recommend! It's the fairest price for a truly beautiful, remarkably stylish fountain pen and exemplary writer! You definitely want this fountain pen!

Just Not What You Want in a Pen
I would just encourage folks to take a look at Pilot options. Better build quality and ink options.

Slip & Seal makes a difference
This pen feels cheap and the construction of the pen feels very light in the hands but don't let that fool you. It writes smooth, never clogs, and even after going weeks (or even a month) of not being used it writes flawlessly on the first stroke. The nib glides across all types of paper (even thermal paper) and after carrying it in my breast pocket for a couple of months it hasn't leaked, not even once. It might not be a looker and may seem like a disposable fountain pen but it really isn't. It is constructed smartly for function over form and does it's job remarkably well to where it may be the best fountain pen I have ever used and it becomes a valued treasure. The Slip & Seal silicone lined cap really does make a huge difference over traditional fountain pens. Japanese innovation and refinement FTW! For an every-day fountain pen that you carry with you wherever you go this is your go-to pen!(The ink that comes with it, as well as used in the refills, is a dull matte black. It insta-dries and you don't ever need to use a blotter or worry about smearing, and it makes for nice clear lines without bleeding, but tbh I prefer the Jinhao black ink that is glossy black. However, this isn't enough of a complaint to take away a star from an otherwise perfect product as I can just use the optional converter to use bottled inks.)

The color is good . It is smooth . Comes with a cartridge. Glossy look . But the box is just a plastic box . Like shoe box

Platinum Fountain Pen
Though I have received today after a delay of nearly a month, I am delighted with the product. Thank you
