American Horizons, Concise: U.S. History in a Global Context, Volume I: To 1877

Very condensed book of history and you do have to read everything to fully understand.I recommend to all teachers to do as mine did, add examples into the lesson to back up a chapter.My professor added articles that helped me in understanding the full content.Overall, this is an amazing book to have.I bought it for class and usually after the semester is over I sell it so that another student can use it.However, I decided not to sell this one because it was something interesting for me to read on occasion (I know I'm weird).Also, I'm a substitute teacher, I like to pull this book out to refresh every so often and have often lent it to the teachers at my school.

The book was instructional although the language used was demeaning. Be prepared to experience a cultural diversity in a public environment when using instruction from this book.

I had to buy this book for my pre-modern US History class, and let be tell you. It is way lest expensive to buy it on Amazon then to buy it at my university book store, saved me some big bucks.
