Clean sound, Great quality.
I bought this system over a year ago after doing extensive research. I didn't want to break the bank but I didn't want something cheap. I have heard other less expensive systems that sound absolutely horrible. They're loud, but harsh, and the sounds aren't clean. I had this professionally installed with the recommended amp and wires. The sound is consistent and clean. It's not a fuzzy and rugged sounding system. The highs are just as smooth as the lows, though as expected, the sound slightly dimishes with the highs but the overall interpreted quality is maintained. I also had a digital interface installed to maintain the highs. I don't blast my music super loud too often but it can shake the rearview mirror off of a car sitting next to me. I can genuinely appreciate the physical quality of the system as well, due to the fact it has a relatively solid and sturdy build. I've become so use to the quality and the accessibility of the bass that it's almost weird driving in vehicles that don't have it. If you buy the appropriate amp, wires and have it installed correctly, it is a rational investment in regards to car audio.

I'm not audiophile but I do like something that gets loud and sounds good in the ...
I'm using this with a RF Prime 1200D, and a Pioneer AVH-X2800BS, I'm not audiophile but I do like something that gets loud and sounds good in the process and these subs do a great job of that. Last few setups I've had in various vehicles were Sundown SD12's, Soundqubed HDS2-12's, and now these. Overall I like these out of those the best, the SQ HDS2 were alittle better on the lower end (mid to low 30s) but these are better on the higher end (mid-high 40's low 50s) so it really evens out as I listen to a little bit of everything and overall I'm happier with the Rockford P3s. I used to build my boxes but I just don't have the time or space to do that anymore and I was looking for a good prefab setup and after hearing this in a friend of mine's vehicle I was sold. Nice and loud with good SQ to them, although you need to remove the slotted covering over the port hole or you get bad port noise. You should also either put a different terminal cup on them or just run the wires through a new hole in the box and seal that as I've personally seen the terminal cup on this box melt at the connections. Plan on upgrading your door speakers as these will completely overwhelm them even on a newer factory amplified setup.

Love the p3d4-12's!
I love these subwoofers, the first subs I've ever owned were p2's. Once I got these p3d4-12's hooked them up with a RF 1200wrms amp I was extremely happy. Other than going with expensive elite subs or possibly the RF T series I think for the price these are my cap for a while. Overall very happy with them and the quality is very nice. I expect quality from RF products. Pounds pretty good, when tuned properly. I had these in a VW Jetta a few months back and they kept popping my trunk open lol now in an Altima. When up loud the trunk rattles a bit (need to dampen it eventually). On normal and lower volumes I can here deep thumping, from my back door. The distance is around 20 feet and you hear this nice bumping not distorted and not crazy loud or high pitched. I listen to a variety of music multiple genres. Star wars imperial March (dub remix) by lduk, never gonna give you up by Rick Astley, on my level by wiz or oxy cotton by lil wyte and X by hellyeah just a couple examples of what I play

The only subs you'll ever need.
I've tried writing a review a few times through the mobile app but it never worked. These subs are the truth, read no further just buy them. I have a 1200w-1D RF Prime amp pushing these subs at max settings now that i've broken them in. Amp does not get hot, lights flicker with every note and subs only distorts on the super bass heavy songs. I went with RF wiring kit ($100) was definitely worth it. These subs will announce your arrival before you reach the neighborhood. And its barely at half of its peak power. The port does make a funny noise which I thought was the subs until I read other reviews noting the same thing. 2nd system ever owned, 1st one was cheap; BS amp with BS wires powering 2 BS subs, stock systems were better than the BS I had. This system I did hours of research and review reading and didnt go the cheap route. Went full RF, wires door speakers amp and subs. 100% worth the money you will not regret these. Will turn heads quicker than any rims. My friends fight for the backseat because of the massage the receive from the subs. I want to add another amp to push these subs to their full potential

Worth the price
Where do I even begin with this product. I upgraded from a single 10 inch L7 powered by a 2100.1 crunch amp that was underwhelming. Now im running these p3 2x12 on a p1000x1bd amp from rockford fosgate as well and it rattles the cabin. Its pricey but for the quality of the product and the look on your face the second you hear that first low note will be more than worth it. I recommend investing in the PLC2 bass knob because it does not come with your amplifier if you do go with the setup I just mentioned. Also invest in higher end speakers and power them the correct way with proper sound deadening material to better enhance your listening experience. I dont think ill ever be using a different brands equipment

Rockford rocks it!
Love it! Love the brand. Love the quality and the sound! Paired with a Punch 1000w mono amp which is actually certified to deliver nearly 1500w (1ohm). I recommend the p1000x1bd over the r1200-1d Mono everyone using for 3 reason; better internals, 100-200 more watts, and because of the C.L.E.A.N. install. What that means that the amp has in and out clipping leds so setting it up to you headunit is a breeze! A couple weeks ago i thought my single p3 sounded really good but that one was driven by a 500w amp. This dual p3 driven woth the p1000 amp is a complete different level. I drive a durango now and the single p3 just didn't sound as good as it did in my little 2 dr scion...
