Great product for the money
I received this item a day earlier than it was supposed to get here so that was a nice surprise. There were no reviews of this particular model on amazon when I went to buy so I was hesitant. But the light works great, it has 2 dimmer switches on the back, one is for white daylight light and the other for warm soft light and you can control exactly how much you want of both.2 small things, one the white letters on the fuse cap, labeled "fuse" are worn/faded, the other is the instructions (which aren't good by the way) tell you to rip of the membrane covering the barn inside of the doors. There's a blue cover on the barn doors as you can see in the item pictures, I thought there would be some plastic over that or something I should remove but there was nothing, so I ripped the corner up before I decided that couldn't be right...So far I've only just set the light up and tested it but the results were fantastic. The light is small but very powerful and both dimmers work perfectly. Will update if anything changes but I definitely recommend this light for amateurs and pros looking for an excellent deal. I shopped for a couple weeks to find the best key light under $300 and this is the one I found. You can use this for fill or back too but I needed a key. Also you can buy a battery for it, I haven't yet but would be a cool addition.

Good run and gun option for the price
I do one man band shoots of all kinds, and this light is great when you have to be fast and light. Like all LED panel lights, it's color profile is weird, so it's no replacement for good tungstens or Kinos, no matter how you filter it, but it does a good job as a key light, as long as you are not mixing other light sources with it. I use it as a cool temp hair-light sometimes. The unit arrived intact, well packed, and it's light output was surprisingly bright (it will dim as it ages like all LEDs). The included filters are fine, and don't eat up too much light. The power supply and cord are cheezy, but you aren't paying for anything but cheese anyway. The stud mount screw on mine was not tapped straight, so the light is always a few degrees canted on a stand when tightened down. Not a deal breaker. The construction is good, and the barn doors are sturdy enough. Do get a battery option for this light. If you are run and gun, you don't want to mess with stingers. I got these two things:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OI8WI8Whttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009HW9RUQThey do the trick for a fraction of what a real V-mount battery/charger would cost.

Great build for value
what i like about this product is a great value, i think you can achieve a lot with it since you can dim it down, definitly wont hurt to get 2 or 3 more of these for any type of short film.

Plesantly surprised!
What a great product for the money. I do simple interviews. I needed a main light that would look pretty nice with daylight white balance. I often light my subject with a north window backlit... then fill in with a main light. This worked perfectly! Very impressed. It's made of plastic but seems very well built. I have 6 shoots lined up in the next 2 weeks and I'm confident this will do the trick for all of them. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a professional/soft/white light for indoor interviews. You won't overpower the sun with it outside... but that wasn't what I needed for 80% of what I shoot. Thanks for another great deal Amazon!

Love it! Love it! Love it!
My first lighting purchase. I was researching for awhile before deciding on these and I am very happy. I'm using it for three point instructional videos, which I'm just getting into. You can see my first attempt (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLceLIjh3tE). I know, the hairlight is too low. They are very strong for my use in my studio and with the barn doors and level controls, extremely adjustable. Easy to set up and use. I wouldn't say they're light for LED's, so be sure to use quality stands. I use Manfrottos.

Maiden voyage with these last week. Impressive.
20 hours of shooting over 2 days at a hospital. Used two of these and one of the little 160 led units. Little unsure because I had not really tested them. Delivered 501 shots edited from 2800 shot all on batteries. Client delighted! Topped up the charge during lunch and only turned them on to set and shoot and never ran them down Hate flash and have been using Arri for still work for the last 15 years. So glad to be done with the power wires and the heat.

Decent price on a fairly bright light. Dimmable LED ...
Decent price on a fairly bright light. Dimmable LED so it won't heat up. Comes with some colored diffusers. Can be powered by v-mount battery sold separately.

Saved me
My second video/photo fusion wedding and the bride was getting ready in a windowless church basement with yellow walls. Since I needed video too, I was able to bring one of these lights out and light the bride and mother beautifully. I use these at all my weddings now. Don't expect to over power the sun or light an entire dance floor, but they work great on one or two people.
