Good for price
Well, it does what it's supposed to do. 5 Stars because the description is accurate.Pros-InexpensiveCons--Only reads temperature in Celsius-Basic functions compatible with 4 Pin Only-5amp Fan Only or buzzer rings non stop-Very Limited Range of Temperature-No LCD display-No Instructions-Cheasy probeMostly only useful for high temperature situations.

It serves its purpose
Needed to conceal the computer and security hardware inside the seat box on our camper. Except that there's no airflow in the seat box. So with a little engineering I was able to place the controller inside the seat box with the computer. I cut out two holes on opposite sides of the seat box and outfitted them with a 120mm fan for each. I pulled power into the seat box from the battery compartment to power it. As long as the AC was running and kept the cabin cool around 75F / 24C the compartment inside the seat box stayed below 80F / 27C.Controller did adequately serve its purpose for what I needed it for. I know the original design and intention was to control cooling fans inside a computer cabinet. As for noise, the controller doesn't make any noise unless the compartment is overheating, to which an alarm sounds off. The fan(s) that it controls makes noise, of course. Keep them clean and dust them often to prevent early failure or excessive noise.Easy to install? Not really. The instructions were written poorly (Translation from Chinese?) and it would take someone who already understands modern computer hardware technology to decipher it. Though for me, the hardest part was securing the controller without damaging it. And that brings me to the next question;Quality of material? How difficult was it that you couldn't use standard FR4 printed circuit boards? The thin PCB makes handling it and mounting it very difficult, like trying to fasten a potato chip with a wood screw. All the components soldered to the board are surface mount, except for the connectors and trimmer which are 2mm thru-hole. All of this could have been done on an FR4 board and not been so easy to crack or break.

Buzzer plug don’t match
I have noticed that the buzzer will not fit in the slot. The buzzer connector is too narrow. And the connector on the board is too wide. The pins are not aligned. Tested unit and it works well. It has been running at same speed for a few days. I need case for it. Where can I buy case? The speaker is not plugged in because the slots don match. Help!

Does what it says
I replaced the loud, 6000rpm, always on server fans in my UPS with 4 pin pwm fans and control them with this gadget. Before I could hear the UPS from anywhere in the house. Now it is whisper quiet but will still speed up if the UPS is under heavy load. Does what it says and despite the complaints coherent English instructions are readily available online. A few things to be aware of, Fan1 is the only fan header actually temperature controlled. The other 2 are just controlled via rheostat. I use a y cable to temperature control two fans at the same time. I am not using the beeper function so cannot comment on that.

Small & Compact
Used these to modulate the speed of the PWM fans on my golfing partner's golf cart. Works perfectly.

Please document in coherent English
One star because there are no instructions or diagrams except for the poorly written gibberish on the item listing. The wording is absolutely confusing. It’s as if they translated it from language a to language b, then from language b to language c, then from language c to language d, and so on until the resulting final translation is impossible to understand. I am able to understand each word by itself, but the complete sentences(if you can call them sentences) as they are written cannot be understood. This device may work great. It may not. I don’t know, and I won’t know until I can divine how to operate it.I understand some products need to be made overseas. I don’t like it, but I understand. This manufacturer needs to hire someone who speaks fluent English, or whatever language needed for the target market, to proofread these things.

Love this product
Does exactly as it says. Added it to my case which has only drives in it, i.e., my own vastly cheaper disk array. Allows me to control the fans based on temps without a motherboard . Beautiful.
