Fantastic on our 17" Bass Tracker
I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. We fish several times a week and in the summer months it gets miserable with the sun beating down on us. I was torn between the 3 bow and 4 bow for our 17' aluminum bass tracker. I didn't want something that covered the entire boat and impeded our ability to cast. But I also wanted something that was useful and would actually provide much needed shade. I gambled on the 4 bow - and man I don't regret it for one second! He absolutely loves it. We installed it according to our placement preference - in the general area of the instructions - but slightly further back so when it's folded down it sits against the aluminum frame of the boat. I fish off the back of the boat and this placement doesn't interfere with me standing, sitting, casting, etc. When it's up, it completely covers the "drivers area" (for lack of a better term). We've gone across the lake with it up and had zero issues with it. Granted, we fish on a 25hp limit lake so screaming across the lake for us is 23-24mph. HAHA! This has been a game changer for the few times we've used it already. He has a remote for his trolling motor and on hot days, we put the bimini top up, throw the solar panel on top, sit on the back edge of the boat with our legs in the water, turn our tunes on, refresh our cold ones, and fish in complete comfort. We laugh at ourselves and people must think we are ridiculous....obviously we are not professional fishermen....but we enjoy ourselves immensely - and yes, we catch fish!! We love this bimini top. Perfect addition to the boat!

Not what we had hoped for.
We chose the tan color for our boat. It was very thin, one trip on the water and it was already staining with leaves and a few spots of dirt. We still thought ok well our choice was the cream so we have to keep it. However, we had a lot of rain this summer and a few trips we were caught in rain. Needless to say our Bimini top leaked terribly. After several emails of arguing they finally allowed us to return it. It still cost me the $23.95 to return it to get my credit of $114.00. If you read it states it is made of "600D polyester canvas with PU Coating, Marine grade." That was my final argument! If that was the case why did it leak so terribly? It was thin and you could see the light through the light color as well as a lot of rain came through. So I had to deal with the arguments and lost $23.95 in shipping while the product was of poor quality.

perfect fit, good quality, very easy install
Very easy install, took about an hour. installation instructions were very basic so some mechanical knowledge would be helpful. here are a few tips that I did that could help the novice or professional.1-after assembly of unit I put small pieces of 3M double sided tape-1" wide x 2.5" long on both beams where I decided I wanted to mount the Bimini pivot point.2- put the pivot brackets on the tape and push down firmly. take a few different measurements to make sure brackets are evenly centered.3- using a 1/8" drill bit, drill through bracket holes and tape and stay center of the hole in the bracket.4- remove brackets and tape and apply a layer of marine grade silicone (I used permatex hi temp black silicone) to the bottom of mounting hardware and squirt some in your drilled holes to help seal the screws using a hand held screwdriver, firmly screw the brackets in place. wipe off excess silicone. repeat same process for strap brackets on front and backNOTES: by using the 2 sided tape it will help you hold the brackets in place and for fitment to ensure proper location also this will keep your gelcoat from splintering and chipping when you drill. I also STRONGLY RECOMEND NOT USING A POWER DRIVEN SCREWDRIVER TO ATTACH HARDWARE. if you strip the predrilled holes out you will have a mess trying to fix

Fat Better Quality Than Expected!
This bimini has turned out to be FAR better than the low price would lead you to believe! We recently restored a 1972 Sea King 14' runabout and we were looking for a bimini that had a flatter top to more closely mimic the classic bimini styles. This top fit the bill perfectly! Some notes:1. The top as installed on our boat sits taller than we would like so I will probably cut the poles down to a shorter length at some point. This is NOT a reflection on the top itself but, rather, our own personal preference.2. If you mount the blocks that hold the rear support bars to your gunwales and will be disconnecting them frequently to lower the unit to the "stow" position, I strongly recommend super-gluing the nut into the block so that you only need one hand to turn the thumbscrew in and out. If you look at the picture I posted of the mounting block, you will see the recessed nut that I am referring to. It is just a loose nut and, without gluing it in, you almost need three hands to put the bar together every time you raise the top.3. Our classic boat has slide rails on the gunwales for moving the bow-to-stern position of the original bimini. I was able to modify the mounting blocks of the new top to work with the fasteners from the old block that slide into those rails. Works really well now!The quality of the fabric and rails seem to be quite good given the price range but we will see over the coming years how long they last. Keep in mind that we are fastidious in the care of our boat so I suspect ours may last longer than most. Either way, I'll update this review if anything changes. In the meantime, buy with confidence!

Great Bimini at a fraction of usual cost
This is an awesome product. I bought this on Amazon for less then $100. It would have cost $300 plus anywhere else. It is high quality and came with $100 worth of mounting hardware alone at WM prices. Fit perfect and stays up at 48 MPH no problem. It blocks the mid day sun when 100 degrees plus, makes California delta boating bearable in the summer heat. Highly recommended this bimini. Fellow boaters can't believe I paid $100 for this. I went for the white canvas because of the heat, I have dark blue canvas on the flybridge of my big boat and dark colors get too hot.Anybody looking for a Bimini top this is the one. Screwdriver included.
