Strongest I've ever seen! A real pleasure to use!
I ordered this Wera 893/4/1 K Universal Bit Holder based upon the reviews others had written, and I have to say this is the strongest magnet in a bit holder I have ever seen. I've been trying these kind of bit holders from different sources for decades, many of them coming included when I purchased tools, and all the ones I tried previously had wimpy magnets. I have a couple of these which also incorporate a spring ring in the barrel to help retain the bit. But what happens with those is I need to use pliers to change bits, because they jam in the spring ring and I can't pull them out by hand. So they are annoying to use. This holder uses only its strong magnet to hold the bit, and will actually 'draw' the bit into the barrel if you let go of the bit after starting to insert it. But the bit can easily and smoothly be pulled out and changed, so it is a real pleasure changing bits on this holder. As a test, I used one of my other holders with a #2 Philips bit to lift the edge of the bugle head of a #8 x 2 1/2" long drywall screw off a table. The typical bit holder has such a weak magnet that the screw can barely be lifted, and gently shaking the holder will cause the bit to immediately fall.Next, I tested this Wera bit holder the same way. Not only does it strongly attract the screw to the Philips bit, I can shake it rather vigorously before it finally loses its hold. If shaken gently, it hangs on, and sometimes will even align the head with the bit and seat the Philips bit into the screw head! This holder's magnet is most definitely stronger than any other bit holder of this type that I have ever used. I am going to order more of these for all my cordless tools.

Best bit holder I have used to date!
Best bit holder I have ever bought. It's short length gives amazing control when driving long screws. The magnet is so powerful, it can hold #8x2 1/2" screws upside down, right side up and sideways. I drove 100s of above mentioned screws with an impact driver and without pilot holes it is still going strong. Also, I never thought I would care about this, but the finish of this bit holder is nice; chamfered edges and a nice surface coating that resists rust. It may cost a little more that your average driver/bit holder but that is for a reason. It is completely worth the price

Good and strong
This is a durable bit holder that has held up to use in two 12V impact drivers and an 18V impact driver without any signs of wear. It has a strong magnet that holds a 3" drywall screw. It's not always a pleasure to use because it is sometimes hard to remove the bit when it gets stuck, and on all three of these that me and my work partner have used, the magnet falls out and we have to re-glue it occasionally. Don't lose that magnet! Recommend.

Excellent
Excellent short bit holder, strong magnet. Perfect for my 12V drill. I have longer ones for my 18V drills.

Want a good bit holder? Look SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Want a good bit holder? Look SOMEWHERE ELSE! I bought two of these and the magnets both fell on the very first day of use. These are junk. Save your money.

Nice, inexpensive, headache saver!
You know the drill. We chuck a bit holder to easily and quickly swap between two or more bits. But it always happens that one falls out and disappears into the darkness. That also happens to be the one you only have ONE OF. Not with the Wera! So far I haven't lost a single bit. I had one instance of a bit getting stuck in a square head screw, but I had to remove that with pliers to that doesn't count. I love the strong magnet and the simple universal design. There are a lot of manufacturers that use locks and the like, but somehow the simplest and often original design with quality construction is still the best. In other words why reinvent the wheel? So for 5 bucks you can't go wrong!

stong magnet but easy to come off
I have no complaint about the magnet as it has pretty stong holding power. but the magnet will come off after some use which happened to 2 of the bit holders I purchased. seems like the glue that is holding the magnet just isn't stong enough. seriously wera get some proper glue, you let me down.

Average mini bit holder
I build decks and have tried every type of bit holder there is, this is a good one. The magnet is strong and well-mounted and the extender is straight and true. It's a well-built unit, slightly better than the budget extenders you can find for $3.
