Well made and good value
Purchased to replace a really old version that only ever had a short range. Required a longer range so purchased this. To photo nesting tree sparrows in garden, viewed through kitchen window plus 20 metres. Worked really well, easy to set up. Well made and good value

Does a good job when you most need it.
I was replacing a remote control unit and this little unit caught my eye a good value unit at a very reasonable price, and itr is now working on my camera very well indeed a big boon in the present spell of cold weather.

Great
Amazing works well with my cannon 80D . Note - make sure the wire is plugged in correctly, the thin bit needs to be plugged to the device and the L shaped plug bit needs to plugged to the camera. Add the cannon software for the live view and you got camera remote/ live screen.

Works with Canon 80D and a speedlite in liveview.
The first thing you notice when you open the box is that there are no instructions and an empty indentation in the moulded plastic packaging designed for two AAA batteries, but for whatever reason they are not included, so you’ll need to buy some. It does at least come with a CR2032 battery for the transmitter. There are two short cables to link the receiver to the cable release socket on the camera. One works with my Canon 80D, the other is an odd looking jack that must fit Sony, Panasonic etc.I eventually found a manual online, at which point I was delighted to discover that one of the buttons on the receiver is the power switch. This might sound obvious but because both transmitter and receiver can be used to operate the shutter release they both have two very similar buttons on them. Until I found the instructions online I had been convinced the power button on the receiver was another version of the delay button on the transmitter. Because you have to hold down the power button for a couple of seconds for it to kick in and the green light to start flashing (or stop when turning off) so it’s not immediately obvious (to a thicko like me) that’s what it was for. I was so convinced it didn’t have a power button that I’ been taking the batteries out after each use to ‘stop the annoying flashing light’ (did I mention I was a thicko?).Anyway, once you get past this first hurdle everything else works as expected. There’s a foot on the receiver that enables you to attach it to a standard hotshoe mount on your camera. But this is an inert connection, it doesn’t communicate with the camera via the hotshoe, it’s just there so that you can use it to keep the receiver tidied away. You don’t need to attach it to the hotshoe at all, everything goes through the jack into the shutter release socket.I have my old 430 EX speedlite attached to the camera hotshoe and therefore the receiver just dangles to one side. This is fine, its light, it won’t damage the socket. However the plastic hotshoe mount on the receiver also has a tripod screw socket inside it so you can attach it to a spare tripod mount/screw. I happen to have one that is a tripod mount on a ball and socket joint attached to a big bulldog clip so I was able to clip that onto the leg of my tripod and attach the receiver to that to keep it out of the way. Also I can confirm (on the 80D at least) that it works in live view so you can use the LCD to compose your shot and take weird selfies with it.I’ve knocked off one star because having some basic instructions included would have saved me the hassle of demonstrating what a thicko I am by not realising there's a power switch. There’s a QR code on the side of the box that takes you to what safari says is an unsecure website that is mainly in Chinese and I failed to find any instructions there, and quickly left, eventually finding them by Googling via my PC.I bought this model because more expensive models by other manufacturers, with higher review scores seemed to have much larger transmitters with more buttons and I needed something small and discreet that wouldn’t look like I was holding a TV remote in all my reference selfies. You get what you pay for, it probably should be a bit cheaper than this for what it is. But it does the job and works with the configuration I needed it to work with and so I am very satisfied with it.Having said all that my 80D should really have come with a wireless remote as standard and I shouldn’t need to buy one from a third party.

Not as good as I thought it would be.
When attached to the camera the receiver cable is in the way when looking through the viewfinder. When using the transmitter the cable on the camera is in the way and is a pain in the a--e. would not buy again.

Perfect camera gadget!
Bought this cause I have a nice Canon dslr t3i and wanted to do family pictures myself and take group photos with me in them. This is perfect!!! Does the trick! No more having to set a timer and run and get into the pic before the timer goes off!

Works great but can’t use flash if using cold shoe attachment for receiver
The media could not be loaded. Right out the box theres two cables included for wireless/wired configuration. 2 AAA batteries required for the receiver (not included) and a battery for the remote (included). Easy setup and works for my needs, just keep in mind that the receiver cannot be attached to the camera (at least not a Rebel T7) if you intend to use flash as the receiver would block the top of the camera. Other than that it’s solid tech for practical use 👍🏻
