UPDATE: If I could give negative stars, I would. At first it was great, but then everything went south. Three of my dogs had vomiting and explosive diarrhea, the smallest one just came back from the emergency vet clinic. I ended up with a $700 vet bill. The only dog that was fine was the one that did not touch this thing. DO NOT BUY, unless you want to end up with sick dogs and huge vet bills.——————-When I opened it, the bones were oily, and didn’t smell good for me, but the dogs loved it. There was some meat or tendon on the bone. I thought it would make my dogs sick, but thankfully it didn’t. Now that the bones are “clean,” it doesn’t smell weird nor am I concerned about diarrhea. I do limit their chewing time though because calcium is constipating. Their teeth shave down the bones safely. They are not like the Nylabones that can break dog’s teeth.

We have 4 dogs from a puppy to a 15 year old senior and every one of them love these bones. I love them because the bones are really thick and aren't easily broken or bit off in small chunks for them to choke on. Excellent value for all of the chewing time they offer. I also freeze them for our puppy who is teething. Works much better than my new Bose speaker, which is what he used before I discovered freezing the bones! ARGH :)

Ordered these for my one year old Springer spaniel and his cousin, a Great Pyranees. Both loved them. They are a little greasy, but the dog eats off the "meat" so quickly, that hardly lasts five minutes. It seems to keep its flavor, and the dogs keep going back to chew.

Our dog is a heavy chewer. He can chew the skin off a golf ball in 10 minutes. These bones are fabulous for him. He usually takes about 30-45 minutes to work his way inside and out. We've probably bought over 30 of them at this point and give them to him once or twice a week. What I like, is that he goes back to them so we keep four five old ones around the house in different places. Occasionally he'll be able to break a piece off so we do have to pay attention, but with a natural bone that is to be expected. I love that they're preserved and we can keep them in the closet.

My dogs loved them and they were not too brittle. I would buy again except I was not home for hours after delivery and the box was full of ants. I banged the ants off and they were still edible (according to the dogs) They were other products in the Box and they were all over everything. I also feel that I was lucky that my dogs didn't get into the box as they have full run of the property with a dog door and a gated property. The risk to my dogs eating cardboard and plastic that is part of the packaging of the bones is not worth me ordering it again.

I've rescued three chihuahua puppies. They have been chewing on everything they can get their teeth on, including lots of furniture. I've sprayed with foul tasting liquid, a temporary fix because they just go back after the liquid has evaporated. I purchased these bones to help with their chewing instinct. Gave to them today for the first time and they have been busy all day gnawing away and, so far, have left the furniture alone. The bones are small which is perfect for these small dogs. If you have a big dog, I wouldn't recommend this size.

My dog likes the bones until the marrow is gone, and most of it just falls out dry from the inside of the bone. She likes bully sticks much, much better.

I have 2 dogs and they chew, on these bones, all the time.
