Solid but shorter in length compared to standard size benches. Nice cushion seat. Seat box is sturdy plywood laminate. Box bed is a bit chintzy. Legs secure strong if properly put together. Although I would expect having to monitor the hardware on a regular basis to ensure stability. Unfortunate staples are used to attach seat cover to underside of lid. Staple not fully seated by manufacture put a hole in fabric-top on the seat box. Why they used a fabric on the seat box verses a stained finish to match the legs is beyond me. Bottom line, a good product for the price, a poor product for the professional. I bought this to match the piano. A concert grand. Very hard to find a good bench that isn't BLACK. Guess I will have to build my own since there are no professional natural brown benches available.

This bench is a good addition to our piano. I like the storage area within and it was simple to put together. Haven't had it for very long, time will tell how well it holds up. For looks and comfort I give this product 5 stars but because the hinge mechanism on it looks flimsy and is slightly bent I'm only giving it 4 stars.

The size and style of this music bench is perfect for my harp. When it arrived the tools needed to attach the legs were missing. I contacted the seller and they were back to me within minutes. The tools arrived two days later. The seat opens to story what you need. In my case, spare harp strings and other necessities. It is attractive and practical. What else could you want!

I am pleased overall. Size is as expected. I do have to say that even 1 week after delivery has a strong musty moldy smell that I hope will dissipate with time. I have put a fabric softner sheet inside the compartment but perhaps the smell is in the "leather seat"? If there are any suggestions please pass on.

Great deal! It's a bench, good for your piano. Material is decent but it's not leather. Fit and finish is outstanding and looks more expensive than price paid. Legs are all even so there is no wobble at all, awesome! It's comfortable with decent padding. It came with tools and simple instruction. I didn't need the instruction as it's pretty simple to put together anyway. It took less than 10 min to put together. Highly recommended.

YES! We bought this item so our two cats can look out the window, as the bench is almost exactly the right height. They got on it almost immediately after I assembled it, but only one at a time. They do seem to enjoy it, however. From the human aspect, it looks nice, too.

I purchased this for my 1917 Sterling Upright Piano and it looks great. It arrived with the words "Piano Bench" written on the Box. The Legs were inside the music storage area, and the assembly was very easy. It came with a hex key so you don't need tools to put it together. It's sturdy and the rubber covers for the legs work well to keep it steady on the ground without scratching wooden floors.

I was really satisfied with everything The bench arrived on time and in good shape. I was surprised however with the color. I expected a much darker color as was shown in the picture but the seat was a very light brown. Does not blend in with the rest of the furniture but I am happy with the bench so it stays.
