Provides Accurate Readings
I bought this scale over a year ago. I used it almost daily for about 8 months, then stopped my weight loss program (bad idea), but at the beginning of 2013, I started the program again and started using the scale again. Here are my impressions from a year of use: 1) The scale provides accurate body weight results, as verified by my multiple visits to the doctor's office where I weighed myself both with and without clothing before going to the doctor's office. This scale had the exact same weight readings as each of the scales I stepped on in the various doctor's offices, when weighing myself in the same clothing and without consuming anything in between. Depending on what I was wearing, I found my clothing could add 2 - 10 lbs to the weight readings. 2) The body fat percent and muscle percent measurements seem to be affected a lot by water and muscle glycogen content. The more water weight you have, the higher your muscle percent reading will be and the lower your body fat percent reading will be. If you go on a diet and do lots of walking (I do 10 miles a day at 6% incline on my treadmill) it drains your muscle glycogen a little more each day and your fat percent reading increases with each day until you have used up all muscle glycogen. It took me about 8 lbs of weight loss (1 week at 10 miles per day and 1,000 calorie diet each day) before the readings leveled out. Once glycogen was depleted, the fat percentage stopped increasing. In fact, based on my calorie deficit for the day and the difference between subsequent days of readings, the the fat percentage difference converted to lbs of fat lost exactly matched my calorie deficit for the prior day. Prior to hitting glycogen depletion, the readings were more sporadic and it would appear that I was gaining and losing as much as 2 - 4 lbs of fat between days. My wife also had a water submersion test done to determine body fat percent, which is the most accurate way to determine it. That test put her at 34% body fat while the scale read 37.4%. That's a difference of about 5 lbs of fat for her weight. 3) The scale takes measurements fairly quickly. 4) The original batteries are still working, but I only weigh myself once a day. 5) The body age number seems a bit wacky. I am 32, but it says my body age is 71. I have lost about 35 lbs so far, and my body age has dropped from 75 to 71. I still have another 60 lbs to lose to hit my ideal weight (15% body fat). However, I have lost 1/3 of the weight I needed to lose and the body age has only changed by 4 years. So, that means when I hit my ideal weight, it will probably still be saying I am 63. I walked 1400 miles last year. 6) The visceral fat reading has dropped from 15 to 14. I seem to be stuck at 14. 15 is the highest reading. Even after my initial 8 months on my weight loss program eating a very clean diet, and losing 30 lbs, it still only went from 15 to 14 and has stayed there. I am not too sure it is working correctly. 7) Overall, the scale is awesome, and it is way more accurate than I expected it to be with weight and body fat readings. However, I would like the ability to import the data into my computer for tracking. I currently manually enter it into a Google Docs spreadsheet for tracking and graphing progress.

Good information tracking
This scale is good because it gives you a way to track your weight over time of up to 90 days back that is the best thing. 1. You must only use the scale as basis to measure your progress of weight lose, fat percentage, muscle mass, and your resting metabolism over time. You need to know that it can be up 5% off but it will give you consistent results so what every the error rate is if you are going up or down it will show the progression. 2, I do like that this scale unlike some other scales doesn't let you pick out your exercise level and only judges you by weight, height and sex. When other scales ask for the exercise level the assume you fat or muscle is higher or lower for your category and gives you even more inaccurate info. 3. A lot of people complain about the scale is wrong because their fat and muscle mass is incorrect but clearly other people are not looking at their BMI which the scale shows if you are obese or over weight based on the bmi chart you can't be dramatically below those numbers because they are based on averages you may be in better shape but you still are carrying excess weight. My muscle mass is on the high normal side and my fat % is less percentage than bmi chart but not by much because I'm still in the obese category because I still have excess fat and weight to lose. 4. Other ways to determine may be more accurate like water volume testing and oxygen dispersement but the calipers method isn't any more accurate because it depends on the scale of the person doing it and when they do the test because the same person can have different results if they do the same test an hour later. 5. Scale accurate I did the weight test and my dumbbells weighted my dumbbells all 6 of them and they all came up exactly 0.20 off from the indicated dumbbell weight extremely accurate. 6. Resting Metabolism helps you get a better idea of what you need to eat to survive and work out without eating all your muscle mass. 6. You don't need the chart in the book to see how in shape or out of shape your muscle or fat is because it has black indicator line showing you or are either above average or below average. Helps you quickly see if you are going over into above average muscle mass and below normal fat content. 7. This is an excellent upgrade of a well designed body composition scale.
I have been tracking body weight and composition for decades and this scale is the 3rd generation of an excellent body composition monitor. This system measures body weight in Kg or pounds, body mass index, it uses electrical impedance to calculate percent total body fat and muscle, visceral fat and finally calculates basal metabolic rate in Kcal/day, and estimates body age. I am an animal physiologist and have used various systems and methods to monitor these parameters. This system generates consistently plausible results. Indeed I used the first version in many student labs with confidence. Very nifty, very consistent. I've used it before and after workouts and allows me to determine water loss in addition to energy expenditures. Model 1 lasted almost 12 years the only reason I've replaced it is because it no longer re-zeros readily. I suspect the C model has greatly improved electronics and it seems faster, hopefully it will continue to serve my needs for another decade or more. Highly recommend

Good weight loss journey tool
This is an overall good scale. It gives you the body metrics that you need. It’s just a little bit tricky understanding how to set it the first time and the following times when it spontaneously erases the information that you’ve put in I’m on a weight-loss journey and it has helped me be on top of my metrics, specially fat percentage, body, mass index and muscle percentage… it also helps me see when I’ve augmented my calorie intake, which is a plus

Be VERY CAREFUL with JetSouq. Product deliverd 27-Sep, I open 29-Sep and it never work, never switched on. I was never able to use this item. I reported to amazon same day. JetSouq only refunded 10%, claiming they make refunds only if: product is not damaged, returned in the same condition as when it was received, and For open box returns they may charge upto 100% re-stocking fees on the product.
