Chip Cutter, Sopito Potato Chipper Stainless Steel Professional Potato Cutter French Fries Cutters with 1/2 Inch Blades for Home and Commercial Use

I really love this cutter. It is made out of large cast aluminium parts and stainless steel. I was particularly pleased to see that the sliding pusher-plate was fitted with maintenance-free self-lubricating igus™️ style plastic bushes. I felt that perhaps Nyloc nuts would have been a better option for the fasteners on the pivot points and the non-removable ends of the guide shafts, but that is a personal preference. (Never been much of a fan of spring washers) The only faults I found with the device was the sharp edges that were left on the guide plates (inside the hooked ends) and on the square section stainless end plate that sits behind the cutting block. Leaving these pressed edges sharp caused a nasty surprise when cleaning the cutter body before the first use. A couple of minutes with a flat needle file sorted this out, but for this kind of money I feel it should not have been necessary. They obviously know about the edges on the guide plates as they had removed all of them except for inside the second bend that forms the hook. For the sharp edges and the bad suction pad I would like to remove half a star, but as Amazon only allows whole stars, I’m going to leave it as 5/5. Ideally this would be 9/10. In defence of the sucker, it seems it’s not really there to hold it down while chipping the potatoes, it’s more there to stop it scooting around the place during use. Oh, and if you do decide to cut sweet potatoes in it - it does work! Follow the instructions on the manufacturers website where it tells you to heat up the sweet potatoes in a microwave before cutting. (I think some folks may have missed this - take a look at the video on the electric version to see) All in all, the best chipper I’ve ever seen. All the plastic ones I’ve used have broken within a few dozen uses. That, and you were continuing cutting the blasted potatoes into chunks just so they’d fit their tiny maws. No such trouble with this beast!! It’s not the easiest of devices to use, especially on the bigger tatties, but there is a big lever that helps with this. There’s also little chance you are going to break it as it’s not made of plastic! I love it. I’m sure you will too.

I bought the 2 blade version 1/2 & 3/8th inch, both make perfect chips. So easy to use and clean, cuts chips perfectly, I found that it does not stick very well to my work surface, but that could be due to it being made from textured Dekton, but still works great, I just have to hold it in place with one hand and pull the handle with the other. I would highly recommend this well built, hight quality sturdy product.

The principal of this Sopito cutter is great, and it does work. Setting it up is not to bad and the "necessary" extension arm is good for storage. In use, the suction cap that sticks it to a clean dry smooth work surface top is not great, it moves and with the six large potatoes I cut , the suction cap on the base did not keep the cutter in place and it kept slipping. Ideally you need to have a surface below waste height like a robust coffee table as the pressure needed to chip the potato is a fair amount. The blades of the cutter are stated to be sharp, the one I purchased does the job but the amount of pressure I had to use was fairly remarkable. I had it set up on my kitchen work surface and I found it difficult to operate properly both with pressure and it moving when applying it. Do not put a whole large potato into this cutter. Cut both the ends of the potato then cut it in half. Cleaning it. You need to dismantle the cutting blade (4 wing nuts and washers) and rinse and dry . The stainless steel sides, one of them becomes dislodged when you remove the cutting blade and needs practise to reassemble it accurately as it only fits in one way. The pusher comes out by lifting a little leaver and it can be washed and dried before replacing, again a little practise required.. A wet cloth to wipe over the base plate and remaining side plates then dry with kitchen roll. Altogether a little finicky but necessary. I would say it is probably worth the money for the robust build and needs a little practise and care when using it.

Bought the one with 2 blades and tried using both .. TOP TIP works better when the blades are wet , either spray with water or dip the blades in water. I found it very easy to use and it really is the best one I've tried.. don't waste your money on the cheaper ones. This is stainless steel and industrial quality. Built to last 💪

this is a first class product and is made from stainless steel and will give many years service, but there is a problem, the suction pad underneath does not hold it firm, i got in touch with the seller, who said the would send a replacement pad from china, they said it would take 15 days but that not arrived, am sure some people who have one will say it works for me, we have marble worktops,, and does not grip,, tried it on our wooden table with the same result, if your paying this sort of money you want it to work, i am entitled to a full refund, but i like it so much i will make do, i push the base against a hard surface so it cannot slide, when you pull the handle down, if a new suction pad does arrive i will give it another review. since writing this review, i received two new suction pads from china, fitted one and it now works perfectly , which makes a perfect product

Prodotto eccezionale! Nel passato ho comprato altri taglia patate, ma erano di plastica, difficilissimi da pulire. Questo è robustissimo, non è di plastica e si pulisce che è una meraviglia! Sono convinta che nessuno al mondo si pentirebbe di acquistarlo. Cinque stelle e lode!

Franchement il faut mettre le prix mais c’est vraiment excellent comme produit hyper rapide. Juste le temps d’éplucher quelques pommes de terre et on a rien de temps, on a des frites de la dimension qu’on souhaite fine moyenne ou grosse vraiment top. Et en plus contrairement à d’autres avis c’est hyper simple, il faut pas du tout forcer les lames coupe très bien.

Bu ürünü fastfood ürünleri sattığımız küçük iş yerimiz için aldık. Ürünün temizlenmesi vs çok kolay ürün aşırı sağlam hiç bir malzemesine şimdiye kadar zarar gelmedi. Gerçek krom (çelik) ve bıçakları resmen jilet gibi. Sadece ray sisteminde biraz yağlanmaya ihtiyacı var sanırım. Onun dışında bu kaliteyi Türkiye'de asla bulmamız mümkün değil.
