Picked up my first bottle when I went to Salt Lick BBQ in Austin. I use this regularly on my smoked meats and we all really like it. The last time I was in Austin I did visit Salt Lick, but neglected to grab a new bottle seasoning. Glad to see that I can get it here on Amazon and bought a new bottle. The price is good & the shipping was fast. I would recommend this seasoning. Updated 7Dec22: Ordered more. This is one of my favorites. I really like that it doesn't contain any sugar or preservatives, just spices.

A bit too much pepper for my wife, I have to season lightly.

This makes any steak taste wonderful. I can’t wait to try it on chicken and pork.

CAUTION: This is not the same product that was received. The label is "almost" identical, but the ingredient list and the taste are different. It's not bad, but I really liked the "original" (what is pictured), but what I received is not the same. If I had not already opened it, I would have returned it.

My husband is originally from TX and we always go to the Salt Lick restaurant when we go to visit. We also always go home with barbecue sauce and dry rub! It was always a sad moment when we would run out, until we found that it was available on Amazon. The dry rub is great on chicken, beef, and pork. It's ok on grilled shrimp too. Be mindful that it does have a kick! A little bit goes a long way. But it's not all heat, it has alot of flavor too. Sometimes I'll mix it in to other marinades to give it a punch.

A friend of mine brought this to a gathering and cooked pork chops with it. Salt lick was the only seasoning he used and they were delicious! I had to get me some. A good all around seasoning that won’t disappoint.
