Sleek design-seems solid and safe
The heater was installed as part of our bathroom remodel. The entire heater is enclosed in a steel box, just the right depth for a typical 2 x 4 interior stud wall. I built a 2 x 4 box around it and it made for a very, very solid install. Make sure you extend the steel box out enough to account for thickness of drywall and paneling if that goes on top of the drywall (like for a remodel job). If you don’t, the thermostat knob won’t reach all the way in to the thermostat shaft inside the heater. During the “smoke test” It heated and ran quietly. Looking forward to using it this winter. The installation instructions could be greatly improved if:- A note reminding installers to project the steel enclosure box out far enough to account for drywall and paneling (like 3/8” headboard) along with a little drawing Illustrating what that looks like;- And they should also include a template for cutting out your opening.

Easy to Install - Quiet motor
Installed this heater in a small mudroom I built in our home. Our home has forced hot air and it would not have been easy to get the ductwork into the room for heat so I looked for an alternate heat source and found this nice little heater in my searching. Based on other reviews I read mostly positive reviews and I can only agree with all of them. Fan motor is VERY quiet and the heater heats up super quickly and the blower moves the heat around very nicely. I would recommend this for any small room that needs a heat source or even like a bathroom if you were looking for additional heat to supplement your primary heat source in the cold climates / months (say to take the chill out while taking a shower). Directions were clear - pay close attention that THIS product is for a 120V line - there is another version for 240V so make sure you are buying the right model. Can be used with an external Thermostat which would allow you to maintain a specific temperature - the built in thermostat would have to be manually set using a room thermometer and then you wuold cut back the dial to maintin that temp. Also I do not believe the heater techincally has an 'off' setting - the lowest left setting on the dial basically set's the thermostat so cold it doesn't let the heater turn on. A more precise solution would be to install an external thermostat (I found a compatable one for $20 on Amazon) - instructions would come with the thermostat to install the thermostat.

A great little heater.
I installed this heater in the bathroom of our cabin, which resides at 9500’ elevation in Colorado. A great little heater that is really efficient. I am a home owner with average mechanical skills. Had it in and working in about an hour and a half, starting with finished walls and two types of insulation to be removed. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars across the board was that it doesn’t have a dedicated “OFF” position. That said, I am very pleased with the performance of this unit!

Nope.
Not impressive. Don’t trust it long term. Built in thermostat is junk. Fluctuates about 10 degrees at any point under full on or off. Sad a company who was known for making quality years ago has fallen to this. Regrets.

Review of 1,000 Watt Unit
I purchased this as part of a multi-item replacement for a 1,500 watt Broan exhaust/heater/light in a small toilet & shower room. Installation was really simple, cut an opening next to a stud and follow the instructions. Electric connection was with a 2-wire plus ground. I connected to a timer that has push buttons for four time intervals intervals as this will really only run when we are using the shower and only in the cooler months. I ran the unit for 30 minutes at high -- my Ryobi laser temperature gauge gave my 170 degrees at the hottest point on the grill portions right in front of the element and about 120 at the coolest. It runs quiet and heat looks like it is adequate.
