The best sweetener!
Let me start by saying that I typically drink 6-8 cups of hot black tea every day. For years I have added milk and a teaspoon of sugar in each cup. That's a lot of sugar every day! I tried replacing the sugar with stevia 10 yrs ago, but the licorice-like taste of stevia destroyed the enjoyment of my tea. On the advice of my doctor I decided to try monk fruit, but the monk fruit I bought at a local store had erythritol which caused a lot of problems for my digestive system. So, I searched on Amazon and found this pure brand of Monk Fruit, and it has literally changed my life. There is no strong flavor like stevia has. It just tastes sweet and just a bit different than sugar. But not in a bad way. It did take me about a week to get used to the flavor and figure out how much I needed to use to sweeten my tea. I started out with a 1/4 of the scoop that it came with and it didn't compare to the teaspoon of sugar I was used to. So, I use the full scoop and that is perfect. The powder is very loose and light, so it helped and made it easier to pour the entire bag into a 4oz glass jar. And the tiny scoop fits perfectly in the latch! I absolutely recommend this pure powdered monk fruit powder if you need to cut out excessive sugar from your diet and don't want the unnecessary added erythritol that most monk fruit powder has.

Fantasic Sugar Replacement
Diabetic, so I've long been trying to cut back on sugar in my coffee. It's been a struggle, but I'm finally down to almost or completely sugar free coffee. Thing is, I enjoy that bit of sweetness, it takes the edge off and can make lesser coffee much more tolerable. I've tried and hated most artificial sweeteners in the past, but in yet another effort to replace it, I decided to try monkfruit. However, everything I found said it generally contains erythritol, which isn't as natural or 'in the raw' as I'd like for something I'm using daily. Thus began my journey of searching out an erythritol free monkfruit sweetener that wouldn't steal my wallet. This is the culmination of that search, and whats more, though it used to not be USDA approved, per reviews, it is now! There is a definite flavor to the sweetener, but no worse than any other sugar alternative I've used. The powder itself is very fine, be careful when first opening and locating the measuring spoon that's inside, you will get slammed if you breath in the dust that WILL puff out. It's crazy sweet. I use a bit less than half of the measuring spoon in an 8-10 oz cup of coffee. Typically at that amount, I barely notice any flavor, just the sweetness, and it's the equivalent of about 1/2-1 tsp of sugar. I believe the bag says one tsp sugar is same as 1/8 tsp of monkfruit (which is what the included spoon is) but I'd say half is closer. Cost is obviously way higher than a bag of sugar so it may be scaring you a bit, but remember at this potency, you're getting hundreds of cups of coffee out of one bag. I've had this for a few months now at least, and I still have an 8 oz ball jar (volume, not weight) of this waiting, and another oz maybe in the other jar. Granted I don't always use it or might not make coffee every night, but I'd say an average of half a spoonful 5 nights a week is about right. The cost will balance itself, I promise you. I don't know how this serves as a replacement in baking or cooking, I have not used it outside of coffee/drinks. As I understand it should work, but with the difference in dry ingredient volume I believe you need to account for that in the amount of liquid added.

So, so
Not as sweet as other brands I’ve used in the past and a little bit bitter.

Worst of three different brands
I've tried three different brands of organic monk fruit extract powder (in addition to two liquid by NOW and Lakanto, and another mixed with allulose by Lakanto). This is, by far, the worst. The NOW extract powder is more expensive but tastes much better than anything else, and it uses very little to achieve a high sweetness level, with little to no aftertaste. WHYZ extract powder is less expensive, but a larger amount is needed to the achieve the same sweetness, and it has a bit of an aftertaste (that I actually never minded and kind of like now). I first tried this PURISURE the same way as I always do, by just rubbing a finger on the inside of the package and tasting it. Hard to taste anything at all, no sweetness, no flavor. I then tried using the same amount of extract powder as I have with WHYZ, but mixed in a drink there is just almost no indication it's in there. No sweetness, no aftertaste, nothing. Not sure what I'll be doing with this, as mixing it with the others I have will just dilute their better taste and sweetness. Disappointed.

Excellent taste, no reactions.
Very good monkfruit sweetener! A very little goes a long way. Just one tiny 1/4 scoop (comes with the bag), is needed in my tea or coffee. I love pure monkfruit because it doesn’t cause gas (like when it’s blended with allulose or erythritol) nor does it increase my appetite like aspartame does. Monkfruit doesn’t cross the blood-Brain barrier and is a more natural ingredient. The only thing I wish, is that this don’t come in a bag. I would appreciate a canister but the bag is fine if it keeps costs down. It’s sticky so I’m hesitant to keep it in a sugar bowl. I might transfer it to a little mason jar though. Anyway, this is a very good sweetener!
