I use this hat for hiking and camping. Fits well, works well. Can dip it into water on hot days and protects from the sun. Fits great and seems well made. Looks a lot cooler than other alternatives if that matters. Packs away easily when not needed and vents well on the sides. Has a map pocket on the top but you can use it for whatever you want that will fit. All around a great hat.

It’s a nice hat but the sizing chart is off, I measured my head size and ordered what it said was the correct size but received the hat today and couldn’t even get it on it was way to small. The good news is the return is easy and another hat will be here in two days.

Retired my old hat when my hunting partner left and went to college. This one is well made fit like it should. Here’s to a long life for the new hat

I wear a 7 3/4 patrol cap and the 7 3/4 boonie hat fits perfect. Awesome hat would recommend.

Bought this for airsofting and tromping around in the Florida sun. Works great as sun protection and as camouflage and is very durable.

Very well made boonie hat. IR safe. UV fade proof. Not waterproof but I recommend making it waterproof yourself. Has bonus pocket inside. This is my 5th boonie hat by tru spec in 3 years none have worn out, the coyote, one faded a little though still looks good, my favorite is the multicam. I'd say they should last at least 5 years with heavy usage everyday and I would order a couple, tru spec has been changing their style lately adding logos and embroidery to their products. Not many high quality boonie hats like this out there. I could never find a real genuine issued one in the past like the navy seals wear. This is the real deal. I cannot be found not wearing it 8 months of the year now. No sunglasses, no sunburns for the last 3 years. If they made cadpat CAF and was drafted for WWIII i'd never wear it though especially first because how CAF is like; they give you one anyways out of combat if they do. I'll stock up on these for everyday usage and prefer this brand for now as long as I can remove any visible branding. Not military regulation or anything; would definitely pass, it's much better would be used or be used though military 100%; I am not british or american though. it looks just slightly sharper, less floppy; maintaining a better shape and therefore cooler look than standard issue IMO and while maintaining uniformity. Side by side they look identical as typical issued ones. The only thing is It can be identified inside the hat with brand name inked inside, no green or white military tag. There's also a tag easily removable in brim on multicam.

I have tried countless boonies in the past and most of them are very flimsy and don't offer good quality build. This Tru-Spec is literally the best boonie i have ever owned in the last 25 + years. excellent purchase, one suggestion for those using these often - wash with water only and let it naturally dry -

It’s a bit big but there doesn’t seem to be any elasticity to it so I’m glad I got the size I got based on my measurements. Overall good quality and a nice pattern. Exactly as shown
