Tuna pantry staple for many meals
This tuna is high-quality and delicious. I have suggested to multiple people to add this to their subscribe and save orders, as we do. The price beats any grocery store price and tuna is an excellent pantry staple. We use them to make tuna rice bowls for a quick lunch or dinner (one can per person) or tuna pasta for dinner. It is nice that you can open the can without a can opener. I love that these are sustainably caught and with no added salt. One can is a perfect portion for an adult serving. They also make great tuna salad.

Wild Tuna is the best!
Wild Planet Albacore is the best for Salade Niçoise, packed in a good olive oil, moist, tasty and is one of the best canned tunas I have found. Hetre's Julia Child's Salade Nicoise recipe: olives, capers, fresh vegetables with a simple vinaigrette. Google it.Sustainable canned tunaSweet cherry tomatoes, or roma or heirloom tomatoesGreen beans blanched/submerged in ice water to retain color and crispnessThin skinned gold potatoes boiled, kept warm, seasoned with simple vinaigrette.Hard boiled eggs, peeled/quarteredNicoise olives but easier to find KalamataCapers and anchoviesAll sit on crisp lettuce leavesI also use this tuna to make tuna cakes, a less expensive alternative to crab cakes :)

Delicious!
There is no doubt, Wild Planet Albacore Tuna with sea salt definitely is a superior tuna from other brands (including the well-known brands. The texture, flavor, color, and aroma of this Albacore tuna is wonderful! I will NEVER buy any other brand of Albacore tuna again!

Truly the BEST!!!
Short Version:Wild Planet albacore tuna is THE BEST - you will love it.Long Version:I was shopping for necessities during the pandemic at Costco. They re-configured the warehouses during that time (aisles blocked off in strange ways) and the checkout lines wrapped around the store. Because of all this, one became bff's w their fellow masked check-out line neighbor (having over an hour+ to chat).I noticed that the woman next to me had shed-loads of Wild Planet tuna in her cart so I asked her about it. She raved and raved. I explained that for no apparent reason, I had become intolerant of commercial albacore tunas (all brands - BumbleBee, Chicken ofthe Sea, Starkist, etc caused weird GERD symptoms)?! I can eat whole habaneros so this didn't make sense. But, it meant that I could no longer buy canned tuna. I don't know what these companies are doing to their albacore but it is a BAD way to process tuna! Tuna that causes esophageal burning after consumption?!She said that the weird GERD/acid reflux that other commercial tunas trigger will NOT happen w Wild Planet. I still didn't add any to my cart, though.Once I got home, I saw that I had paid for a 6-pack of Wild Planet no-salt albacore (haha - this woman snuck it into my cart without my noticing). She was right. Seriously - Wild Planet tuna is THE BEST.I have become a convert and now I buy Wild Planet in bulk. Other companies are making attempts to emulate Wild Planet (some even use the same cannery - like Natural Catch tuna) but none of them can compare to Wild Planet since WP tuna is cooked once, in the can and other companies cook + process tuna 2+ times (and use weird chemicals). I tried Natural Catch but it was rubbery and bad.Buying by the case translates into a budget-friendly price (like $3.50 or less p can). Great price. No-carb. Low-fat. High-protein. Delicious solid tuna steaks. Healthy. Sustainably poll line-caught. This is a great company! If I could sneak a can of Wild Planet albacore into your Amazon cart, I would! I know that you would love it. That goes double for any who are experiencing strange GERD symptoms after consuming commercial canned tunas - this one won't cause acid reflux.

Minimal oil and water in tasty tuna
I prefer albacore tuna to all others but have recently been eating more skipjack. Reading about the Wild Planet albacore persuaded me to order some and I'm sure glad I did since it is very tasty. My preference was albacore in water until I thought about how it sometimes is dry. When I read that some people complained about there no being a lot of oil but oil and water, I decided that this was the option for me. If I'm cooking with tuna, I generally use the olive oil in which it is packed but if I'm making a tuna salad, I drain it unless it is already dressed in the package. In other words, when I drain a can of Wild Planet albacore in EVOO, I don't feel like I am washing valuable olive oil down the drain. A single can makes a really good salad which I find makes at least two servings since I typically add onion, celery, and other assorted vegetables. I generally also add a little dijon mustard to a light amount of rich mayonnaise. I also add a touch of lemon juice or vinegar, pepper or jalapeno, and sometimes rinsed capers if I'm craving salt. That makes a solid salt, fat, acid, and heat which achieves perfection in tuna.

Forget store Tuna and remember how good it can be
I used to love tuna sandwiches and dip and other dishes. Over the years the quality went down, but the price stayed pretty low and we continued to buy it. However, we just didn't like it anymore. I was in Canada and a friend gifted me a can of this kind of tuna. It was a revelation! Great taste, great texture and larger cans. We bought some, aware that this is not longer a depression food, and it is wonderful. I recommend it to anyone! You will enjoy it, and maybe remember old times when food was unprocessed, tasty and nutritious.

Tuna is very good. Processed naturally. It's the only tuna to buy.

Great Tuna, do the Prime subscription!
My husband loves this tuna. Great regular price on here already, but then I signed up for the prime subscription. I basically got prime for free, my first box was like $20, and now I get a case every 2 months for $4.65 a can which is a great price for this premium tuna! He loves the tuna in olive oil which is not as easy to find as the others. My husband is a fisherman and so he knows good fish!
