After i bought a thermopile from you, i replaced them with new thermopile. the light won't stay on. what might be issue then?

Check the reading of the thermopile with a multimeter. You should be getting 500mv or higher with the flame on. In my case, both thermopiles I purchased from this seller were defective and would not get above 350mv. It was enough to keep the pilot on but not to energize the valve.

Will it work in a Appalachian gas fireplace model conquest P?

I'm an HVAC TECH and deal with this ALOT in Northeastern Pennsylvania. GRANTED,they are on mostly older Steam Boilers I was Shocked to open a fryer at my local/FAVORITE Chinese Restaurant! WELL,actually it was the price Difference that shocked me! Here's what I found out after some buying/installing/etc. 750ml is 750ml no matter how you look at it it's going to open and control your gas valve. The only difference you have to look out for is this on the frying ones they do not have a heat-sensitive cover so you have to watch out for that I have found ones that do have the metal covering that you want if it's going to be near flames or in the high heat scenario but remember sheet goes up so if you have a fireplace or something and you're tucking that underneath those locks chances are you'll be okay with one for 11 bucks but if you can search around and find one that has the metal covering over it I would do that but like I said is it necessary it depends on the situation that you're in and how much heat is down there will it open it I guarantee it will open that gas valve how long will it last that is the question. I hope that helps.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: The good was the fast delivery: Got it in 1 day. The bad is it doesn't work. Wouldn't get past 300mV. Held pilot ignitor for 5 minutes and wouldnt activate valve on my gas log set. Otherwise, I would like a replacement.

Here's how to make them work. Otherwise they're all junk.

I've tried several of these. They all work for a while, then they stop. To fix that you need to clean out the two little air holes on the pilot tube. Then you get a hotter pilot flame, then they work right again. Plus I made mine really good: I just added a second one, wired it in series with the original one. I mounted it coming from the other side, and held it in place with some aluminum wire, which is really easy to do because aluminum wire is easy to use. So I get the volts off of two of them, it works super well, and then they last for a long time, as long as you clean the air holes and the pilot tube blowing some canned air or exhaust air or sucking it out even with the vacuum cleaner. You can see that the pilot then burns stronger, which is hotter, which gives you more volts to open the gas valve. Look at YouTube videos on how to clean gas fireplace, or the manual that came with your device.

$100 install for only $8

I called a heater repair company to service my subfloor furnace. After hearing it would cost $100 and they would be delayed, I ordered this myself and replaced it. Its a great replacement and my furnace starts everytime now. Well worth it.
