Gets the job done!
I have owned a series of 1980s Toyotas (some of the easiest vehicles to steal) and the club has kept them safe. I have been told multiple times by people "don't you know Clubs can just be cut off?" but have yet to actually see this happen. An anti-club friend of mine bought a brake lock for his Toyota and someone just drove it away using the emergency brake. I once saw a thuggish young guy jump out of his friend's car and run over to my Toyota and the second he noticed the club, he jumped back into the vehicle and left. The basic club does not use the ratcheting action of the higher end model which can be a hassle when you have to find the key to lock it. On the positive side, you can't lock it without the key and then be stuck. Sometimes the rubber coating peels a bit after time and in one case part of the housing near the slide wore down and began to bind shut but these are minor inconveniences considering the fact that this is a cheap, simple device that could prevent your beloved jalopy from falling into the wrong hands.

Solid and good deterrent
Bought this for my mom's car to keep the Kia Boyz away after they struck the 1st time. So far so good.

Inexpensive, easy to use theft deterrent
Update: Using this thing has become such a habit that I basically don't even think about it anymore. It takes about three seconds to set. and it's really nice to know that the car is extra secure. My neighborhood is still somewhat sketchy, so on a subconscious level I'm always on guard. This thing really adds to peace of mind. Of course car theft and break ins can happen anywhere, so it is definitely not just for those of us in less glamorous areas. The Club is an essential, like locking the doors.Original: Do you really need this goofy-looking 90s relic? YES. You 1000% do.Vehicle thefts are way up in our area, maybe in yours too. I don't want to have to deal with that kind of hassle. If your car is stolen, even if you get it back, the lock or ignition may be messed up. And if you don't, how easy would it be to replace? Car prices are through the roof these days. It's infinitely better to avoid the issue altogether by taking this very simple measure to protect your vehicle.I know I sound like a Club evangelist and I know that's weird, but this is one of those situations where the tiniest bit of effort can save a massive amount of stress. I had the red original ages ago and don't know why I stopped using it. It's super fast and easy to put on, big enough for an SUV but still not too bulky for a regular car. Just orient it diagonally SW to NE, and then the wheel can't turn left. It does not appear to have that bending problem that some of the fancier versions do.After a few months, I noticed dents on the steering wheel where it rested, but I think that's unique to this car as the wheel is made of a squishier foam. This didn't happen when I had the red version years ago (different car). I may just tape a bit of sponge to the club at the pressure points.Even if it's primarily a visual deterrent, that's sufficient. Hopefully a stickyfingers would see this, laugh at how ridiculous it looks, and then decide it's not worth the bother.

Does the job.. okay
This does the job, it is an affordable alternative to the more advanced and improved other models out there that are better made , while I prefer a different model I'm using this.

Extremely easy to use
My local police department suggested that I invest in this as a major deterrent for airbag theft. Like many other areas nationwide, my neighborhood was recently hit with a rash of airbag thefts ( Whoever thought there was a black market for airbags!) Would not in use it easily fits on the floor on the passenger side, and releases or locks with the turn of a key. It's money well spent if it prevents my window and steering wheel from being broken again. As the police explain to me, yes, you couldn't Theory still get the club off or Break It In half, but if the thieves are looking for a quick grab job on the airbag they will not have the proper tools with them, nor want to take the time to mess with the club.

They just cut the steering wheel.
I had this on my truck. The thief just used a cordless sawsall to cut the steering wheel. It slowed them down a little.

Helps keep the KIA boys away
I used this back in the 90's and ended up giving it up because it's a major inconvenience and I got old enough to realize that no one is going to steal my car.Well here we are in 2024 and thanks to KIA's awesome job of doing the absolute minimum requirement with their car line up. I'm now finding myself having to club my wheel once again. The good news, is that for the most part the visual aspect of the club you can pretty much get away with just tossing it on without locking it. Which is what I was going for and why I didn't get a kill switch. They both help protect your car from theft but seeing the club might prevent them from trying in the first place. There really isn't much else to say about these, from what I could tell there was very little to no difference from the one I owned in the 90's to the one I bought on Amazon. So if you have ever used one before you already know what your buying. At any rate if you own a kia or hyundai between the years 2015-2021 get a club!

Came in damaged
I would give it 5 stars but mine came damaged. I was relieved to get this since Kias have been getting targeted lately but when I opened the package it was damaged. i don't know if I received a used one or if it got damaged in transit but I was really disappointed.
