These are the first set of ergonomic crochet hooks I have bought. I have always used the regular metal hooks and they make my fingers ache and turn numb. First impression, these hooks are very comfortable to hold. I use the knife hold when I crochet. I tried them in a pencil hold also to check the comfort and they seem like they would work good that way also since they are not overly bulky, just the right thickness. I don’t crochet using the pencil hold so I can’t give an accurate opinion for that hold, but they feel good to me.The shank and throat are fairly slippery, there are no burrs, scratches, or nicks, but I can feel a tiniest bit of friction from the yarn. So it is not completely smooth. I used some Eagle One NEVR-DULL wadding polish my husband had in the garage to shine chrome. Then buffed then up with a microfiber rag. It made them smooth as butter. I imagine car wax, chrome wax, or any kind of household wax you have around the house might work.I was worried the under hooks might not be hollowed out enough on these hooks because a lot I have looked at are filled-in in this area. But these hooks are perfect. They are nicely carved out to grab the yarn. No excess metal under there where it doesn’t belong. These are a boye style hook, so you have to appreciate a boye style hook to like these if you are picky about your hooks. I don’t care the style as long as the under hook is carved out deep enough. I hate a shallow hook. These hooks are far from shallow. They are perfect!

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and I have to say these hooks have been wonderful to use. I found myself being able to have more consistent stitches, because the handles are super easy to grip and I have experienced less pain and I'm able crochet longer with them. No pouch included with the set, but I bought a cheap pencil case to keep them in because I definitely do not want to lose one of these!

These have a nice thick rubbery grip to them. They provide some pain relief to getting the cramp hand. They feel durable and well made. The hook sizes are good and slick. And they are just pretty too.

These are great crochet hooks but they are labeled incorrectly as knitting needles. They are just what I was looking for. I am a MAN who crochets. Men have crocheted fishing nets for thousands of years so best for women does not quite fit the description, either. I would describe them as the best ergonomic crochet hooks to prevent pain associated with carpal tunnel, trigger finger and arthritis. Wonderful product. The company needs some assistance with editing descriptions. However I was very pleased with the hooks, the handles, as well as the variety of sizes and the price. Thanks for making this product available.

These hooks are pretty nice for the price , I use clover hooks which are high quality , I needed larger metal Hooks and for the price I got a whole set! It was well worth itI was crocheting with them and my piece was coming out larger than the one crocheted with the clover hook in the same size and I couldn’t figure out why ! I started putting the hooks together and for every hook it seems they are bigger so the only downside is I would have to use one hook size smaller to match the hook to the right size of the clover hooks ! Susan bates are also the same as the clover so I would say these are probably off size !They catch a little bit but they are nice and smooth, I like the point at the top makes it easy to go into the stitches !!They have a black marking with the hook size and a carved marking into the handle which is also nice just in case the black wears outOver all for the price these are really nice especially the grip and the hook goes all the way to the end !!

Excellent crochet hooks!!! They are super comfortable (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and everything hurts my hands these days), these hooks do not. I used to have a set of Clover about 7 years ago which someone borrowed and never returned. These hooks are very similar and for the price and great alternative. I am elated to have such nice set at an affordable price. I thought there was no way they could even come close to my old set but they are awesome!!! As always Amazon and USPS are amazing as they were delivered within one day!!!

This is a great variety set good for beginners and people who want to make a variety of projects. I didn't find the hooks liable to bending or warping. The ergonomic handles did wonders for my crochet projects. Sometimes I found the hooks a bit bulky, but that's the tradeoff you get for ergonomic handles. When fine detail was required for my projects I pulled out standard ones for those small parts. The zipped plastic bag it came in has still held up after months of wear, so I haven't even had to worry about finding a proper bag to keep the hooks in.

I'm not really sure about the "ergonomic" aspect, but they are comfortable. The smaller the hook, the smaller the handle, and I really would have liked to see them all have a thicker handle. I have arthritis in many of my joints so holding tiny handles is painful regardless of the shape. These aren't tiny, but I felt like they should have been more consistent. That being said, the overall quality is great. The smooth metal hooks don't cause snags, the grips are soft and ready to use, and there are a wide variety of sizes in the package that are the most commonly used. I'm really happy with my purchase, I would only recommend adjusting the grips a bit to really be considered ergonomic.
