A very detailed and historical account of Eucharistic Theology. I highly recommend to any reader that wants to understand the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist

This is an excellent book for anyone interested in the early church and the history of the Eucharist. We are using it as the main book in our bible study group along with others like, In the Presence of Our Lord, by Fr. Groeschel, The Eucharist, a Study Guide by Fr. Mitch Pacwa and of course the Catholic Bible and Catechism. It is loaded with details that help in understanding the history of the early Catholic Church and a deeper appreciation of our faith. It has hundreds of other references that can be used to broaden the study. If you are interested in the development of the Catholic Church from Christ to today, this is a must read.

Reading this book may have been a school assignment but it has been a blessing for it has nourish my love for Jesus and longing to be with Him in the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

This books reinforces for the intellect what I have already believed in my heart. Using excerpts from early Christian writings from the first centures after the death of Christ, this book reinforces that from the beginning, the consecrated bread was then, as it is now maintained by the Catholic Church, believed to be the the true body, blood, soul, and divinity of our Lord. Lengthy, but worth the time.

This book offers a VERY thorough explanation of the Holy Eucharist which includes an in-depth historical documentation reaching back to the earliest foundations of the Church. Father O'Connor invites readers to journey across the rich tapestry of Church tradition and "The Hidden Manna" is a must for all serious Catholic Christians as well as others who wish to better their understanding and appreciation the true meaning of the Eucharist.

Exelent scolarship. Great resource for priests and lay people. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our salvation. It is Christ the Savior of the world.

A wonderful presentation on the Eucharist and all that it means and stands for. Father O'Connor has done a superb job in presenting the theology behind the teaching on the Eucharist and its importance in our lives.

Excellent book to help know Christ in the True Presence. The fathers of the church are excellent to help us find Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
