This innovative window control system is both powerful and attractive in appearance. It was the ideal replacement mechanism for my 14-year-old Velux skylights whose open/close drives had worn out. Velux wanted 7 times as much for new drives as I paid for the Olideauto units. Installation was easy. The instructions were complete. Customer service is first class.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the Olideauto Chain Window Motor to automate one of my Pella Designer Series double-hung sash windows. I mounted the motor to the top of the window frame with 2-1/2" wood screws and fashioned a cross-bar from 1x1x1/8 angle aluminum (maybe a bit of overkill, but I had it on-hand). The bar is attached to the sash using 1-inch wood screws - I was very careful to make sure they wouldn't interfere with the operation of the window before hand, especially the built-in blinds or the slides/jamb-liners. The windows have plenty of frame to accommodate. All of the Pella Designer Series double-hung windows I have require about 20 pounds of force (measured with a luggage scale) to open or close and the Olide opener is rated at 300 Newtons (about 67 lbs) of force, so operation is smooth and only takes 41 seconds to fully open or close. I placed a security lock on the lower sash, so the window is as secure as the factor lock when fully closed and reasonably secure when cracked open just a bit for venting. Operation is very quiet, my 4-inch desktop fan on low is louder than the window motor.The remote pairs easily and the instructions state that you can pair up to a total of 20 transmitters. I also like that it's easy to "flip" the up & down (close/open) buttons if your particular implementation requires it so you don't have to reverse any wiring. One small thing - the chain-drive is in the center width-wise, but closer to one edge, so I do have to deal with the wire coming out of the left-side of my window and routing it across the top so that the chain attachment to the sash is more vertical. It would be nice if the power could be connected to the case from either side. I hope this and the video and photo of the rating plate are helpful.
