I wish the book would give some substitutions, because especially for small plates, I don't want to have to buy a bag of mandarins just to use some mandarin zest in a recipe. I probably won't come back to this book often unless I'm hosting again since it's not an everyday ingredient type of cookbook, but more of an option for entertaining.

Delicious Recipes with a lot of ingredients
I made a few of these recipes for Christmas. The book has photos for most of the recipes and they are really lovely. Enchanting cookbook
My book arrived today. I was already excited about this book but when I opened the box and began looking thru this book I became even more excited. First of all the binding is extraordinarily done, making it easy to lay open. The paper stock is thick and easy to turn. The photos are beautiful. Now, to the recipes…..I want to make everything in this book! In advance of purchasing this book, I made the black lentils dish thanks to a review of the recipe on one of my favorite blogs, Alexandracooks.com. This dish is amazingly easy and exceptionally good. I will certainly make it over and over again. I am very pleased with my purchase and you certainly can not beat the price, especially for such a well done product.

Approachable & unfussy + Beautiful & delicious!
I'd been following Stacy while she was at Saveur and on Instagram and loved the food she posted so I bought her cookbook as a thank-you for a friend. I cooked 3 recipes in the first 2 weeks and ended up not being able to part with it. I bought another copy for the gift, and convinced two friends to buy the book as well. I love that the recipes are approachable and don't have too many complicated ingredients. I can shop for most of them at the farmers market if it's not already stocked in my fridge and pantry. The dishes are unique and come out beautiful and delish. Would recommend to someone who already enjoys cooking, but they don't need to be too advanced!

A WINNER!
it is so rare to find a cookbook that delivers phenomenal recipes throughout the book. I have made so many recipes from this book and every time they have been fantastic. The braised artichokes, the roasted radishes, roasted cherries, pistachio pesto, panzanella, mortadella slab pie, salads, and bacon wrapped leeks (to name a few) all have dazzled my family and invited guests. So worth buying. I look forward to more from this chef.

Simply delicious!
I opened this cookbook at a casual dinner party and folks fought over who would borrow it first. I got it back in a few days with 2 terrific dishes made from recipes within and handed it over to another neighbor. Now waiting for more food. I consider it "a cookbook with benefits". As an American-Italian, the descriptions on each page whet my palate and remind me of family dishes/parties. Easy to follow and attractively designed, I think its should be kept open in any true food loving kitchen.

Excellent, Easy, Exquisite Cookbook!
I love cookbooks, and I heard the author of this cookbook on NPR. I loved hearing her stories about the recipes, and those are included for some recipes in this book. But each recipe has a little intro, tidbit, or fact about the recipe, making the cookbook interesting reading, too! Recipes are straight-forward, pages open flat, and color photos to accompany the recipes! A great mix of vegetarian and carnivorous recipes. It was $20 and it was totally worth it!
