This is an Assamid Variant, which is unusual for the Region, but I liked it.
This is the 100g size Pressed Puerh Tea Cake, and I noticed it's an Assamid Variant, growing in Minghai, Yunnan Province, Mainland China, which is unusual for this region. The vast majority of tea grown here are the Sinensis Variant, but I wanted to try it anyway, and was pleasantly pleased with it's results. Dark color, strong taste, and a good drinking tea. Remember, this is a Ripe/Cooked Puerh, which is what most Puerh Teas are today, but at this Price Point, I think it's a Good Value, and rate it 5-STARS.

Less that good.
I feel like this tea was improperly stored as when I received it it had a very strong perfume aroma. Not one associated with puer it was like a cologne smell that was soaked into the tea cake from ann outside source and that smell transferred to its taste. Aside from that perfume smell after it was brewed it had a strong fishy smell. I gave it an extra star because the tea I did drink had a positive effect and gave me a good boost of energy it was just very hard to get past the taste that came from the smell. Won't be buying again.

Wonderful!
A wonderful shu puer from jingloon factory! I fell in love with his sweet pecan taste with a mild mustard. The smell of boiled tea resembles sweet plums and paired milk. This poer is ideal for everyday use - a reliable and delicious choice!

A great new tea experience
I tried pu-erh tea in China last year and fell in love with the simple, slightly sweet, straightforward taste. I ran out of the brand I bought there, so I was looking for something similar that I could get locally. I definitely found it in Jinglong. The packaging is attractive enough to make for a good gift, and the pricing is excellent for the quality that we found in the pu-erh mini tea cake. What really got me hooked on the company, however, is the customer experience they provide. They reached out to find out if we liked the product and shared info about other products and more importantly: how to really brew this tea. Soaking the tea in hot water for a few seconds prior to brewing is critical, and really improved on the flavor profile, the coloring, subtle aroma and look. Enjoy this tea, and try their green and other varietals too. You won't be disappointed.

My puck came expired
I received a puck that was expired. I know this review isn’t helpful for the taste or flavor of this item. However I think it needs to be know.

Very low grade with almost no flavor.
This is horrible puerh. Very dark in color but almost no flavor. What little flavor it has is repulsive.

Wonderful tea for a tea beginner
I am new to the world of tea so I feel lucky that, right at the beginning, I found a tea house that has great tea. I have tried 4 different kinds of pu erh. I feel confident that others I try will be just as good. Flavor: earthy, smooth, medium strong. Presentation: the boxes are very nice looking. Ready for gifting, if you are willing to part with it.
