A great camera for the price
I volunteer at two zoos, doing photography for their marketing departments. I've been using a D3300 for years; I bought this one to replace a camera that finally died. I don't want bells and whistles, just a solid, entry-level camera that I can use with a zoom lens. The D3300 is just right for my purposes. One small annoyance about the D3300 is that changing the exposure settings -- for example, from aperture priority to automatic -- changes my focus setting and re-sets the control for taking multiple frames. Changing those two settings back where I want them is a little too much work when time is of the essence. I would also use a "bulb" setting if the camera had one. It's not worth the extra money to purchase a higher-end model for that feature. Overall, this is a great camera!

Perfect!!!
I was looking for a new camera on a budget. I'm just starting photography and this works perfectly! The body was exactly as described, only cosmetic scratches, otherwise the flash works well, it works really well with the lenses I already have, and I fully tested it out and it works beautifully! I'm excited to start using it and I hope I can make it last for a good long time.

Almost Perfect entry-level camera, get it, seriously get it...
I love this camera! I think it is fantastic. If you want a great entry level camera that takes EXCELLENT images you need this camera. It is small and light. It is really good in low light. Images at 6400 ISO are usable for most things. I personally believe 24 mp is a sweet spot. The files are not huge, and they load fairly fast in Lightroom. Plus you can crop images and they will look fantastic. lSeriously, if you are into taking great images and you want to start with a DSLR, you need this Nikon D3300 to begin your journey

Per me va bene così. Grazie.

I have a real problem with this camera. I can't stop my wife from pinching the damn thing, and my favourite lenses! It's just so easy to use while giving me all the control I need, and significantly lighter than my old D90. Most importantly, the picture quality is every bit as good as far more expensive DSLRs. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the D90 or newer semi-pro DSLRs easily to hand, but the vital controls are all easy to get at and the remainder are in easily driven menus. Mind you, I was tempted by the slightly more expensive new D5500, so if you want a swivelling touch screen display & a few more features I'd go for that. The added complexity might have stopped my wife pinching it... About the only real let down was that Nikon no longer provide a hot shoe cover - saving them a few pence on the price but costing me rather more to get one.
