I absolutely LOVE listening to sermons by pastor Rogers so I was so excited to see this book by him here on Amazon! I came looking for a non-specific book that would be good for my son to read as he just recently started his new Christian walk and so I immediately pounced when I saw this one written by my favorite pastor!I decided to read through it myself before giving it to him in case he had any questions and I am so glad that I did! Many people have commented that it is a very "basic" book, but I love that about it! This book covers the most important theological foundations that a new Christian needs to get firmly planted in their heart/mind before even thinking about taking on any deeper topics and issues. While these may be "basic" topics, I am sad to say that I know as many Christians that aren't firm in this knowledge and thus not firm in their faith, as I do that are. I think that if they had read a book such as this when first starting to learn about the truths of the Bible, their beliefs and fundamental faith/worldview could be much stronger and impactful for the kingdom work.I would call the information in this book "foundational", not "basic", and recommend it to Christians in all stages of their journey as at the core, it greatly strengthens faith and is a fresh washing of the joy of salvation and God's grace!

This was a great reminds of the Christian basic responsibilities. Thanks. God requires of us to study His Word in order to know His Word which will enable us to live His Word.

This was actually the very 1st "book" I purchased for my Kindle! I have been using the book for a 12 part sermon series I have been doing on the basis of our Christian Faith. Though I preach at Baptist Church, many of the members come from different denominations (including myself), this book has allowed us to concentrate on what we have in common instead of our man-made doctrinal differences! This book has been a valuable resource for me at I prepare for each week's message. My only complaint really has nothing to do with the book, just the Kindle version in general. I like to copy sections of the book and use the text for my outlines. I was only able to cut and paste a few dozen paragraphs before I got a "pop-up" window saying that I had "exceeded" the publishers limit on copying the text! I think that stinks! It would be different if I was cutting and pasting from a library book, but I paid full price ($2.99) for the book, so I should be able to use it as I please! On a side note, I wish we could use our bank accounts for Kindle purchases, currently you must use a credit card. I am trying to reduce my debt and eventually live debt-free. Using my credit card to purchase books makes this quest more difficult!

This is a must read for Christians at all levels of faith. I like to gift to people and keep it as a reference for myself.

This really is what we all should know

Adrian Rogers left many gifts with us after he left this world for eternity with his, and our, Savior, Jesus Christ. This book is one of those gifts. It is a direct, unflinching guide to the important aspects of saving faith in Jesus. I am using it in a men's Bible Study on Tuesday mornings and it has stirred many meaningful discussions, which I hope will lead to deeper faith on all our parts.It is a useful and enriching book for any Christian for personal learning, as well as to have extra copies on hand to share with new Christians or those who need to know more about becoming a Christian. I highly recommend it and thank God for Adrian Rogers' long and fruitful ministry as a proclaimer of the truth that Jesus saves!

Kindle version is very good,with a readable fomat.Great price for a classic read.

Amazing book. Perfectly answers doubts ,concerns, worries giving assurance of Gods grace. Easy to understand and very encouraging. Would. recommend to any Christian as we all struggle and doubt our salvation at different times and also to anyone interested in discovering a life in Christ.
