Nice unit
The unit arrived quickly, a day early, and in good shape. After reading the instructions, I did order a 6 1/4 hole saw to cut the hole in my kitchen drywall ceiling. This was an extension to existing lighting and took some effort to get romex wire pulled to the new unit. Although the directions say use their enclosed template for the hole (6 1/4 inch dia.) I found that I had to use a utility knife to carve a bit more off the hole where the two locking ears are located. No big deal, and only required about 1/8 inch more small relief cut in those two areas and then the unit slid in very snug. I do not suggest a larger hole saw because the rim at the bottom edge is not very wide, just accept that you're going to do a little finesse cutting with a knife. It looks very neat and locked in place easily.

Excellent. Preferred to new work.
I recently bought a house from 1991 and installed 66 of these throughout the house. They look amazing. They are easy to install (with some 6 3/8” hole saw) and easy to wire. If I had a complaint it would be the stain relief can be very challenging however I found with a 3 axis (offshore brand) laser it was even easier than new work lights to get exactly where I wanted plus no dry wallets to move them after I finish.

For the money, you can't beat it. Just be gentle with the wires.
I recently added 4 Philip's Hue recessed lights to our living room, using these can's. 6 years ago, I installed 8 lights in our kitchen using the regular old work cans. I must say, not having the long arm protruding out was certainly easier this time. I also was worried about it only having 2 anchor points, instead of the normal 4 on regular old work cans. No need, they worked great and snugged the lip super close to the ceiling. The only negative I can give them, is the wire inlets. At first, I was like GREAT, but after trying to squeeze 12/2 into them, not so great. So I suggest that you go gentle with them and support the wire enclosure when pushing the wire into the slots. Or do it prior, like I did on 3 of my cans....just inserted the wire into the 6" hole and fed it in until I was read to insert the can and tighten it down.IDK, maybe with 14/2 wire it would be easier and not so tight of a fit. Regardless, I do recommend these....for the price, you can't beat them!

Great Halo cans
-received promptly in good condition (in better shape than some off the shelf ones at H*depot.-chose cans vs waffles to maintain continuity of house build,-fairly easy install (not as easy as waffles), I like the screw down tightener vs the old push on springs & easy push wire connectors.-I liked the gasket on the can to ceiling contact, very air-tight. Hope Halo don't go the cheap route to compromise quality in the future.

Nice fixture
The wings that fold out which holds the fixture to the drywall work very nicely for a secure tight fit which you tighten with a screwdriver. This is a big improvement over other cans that have clips to mount it.One thing I did not like is the knockouts on the electrical box are so close to the edge of the box right next to those black clips that it is very hard to spin a locking nut on the electrical connector that goes through the hole
