beautiful camellia
this is a tough plant that arrived healthy and is doing great in my pot.

Great for the hard to find plant
Firstly, let me say these were comparable to an Etsy listing for size and price. My local nursury sells much larger camellias for the same price. However, for the hard to find color, these were great. Very healthy root systems, not pot bound either. Not two liners thrown into a quart size either. Two leaders roots went all the way to the pots edge. Packaged very well. Very happy. Wish they had more variety so I would buy more. Amazon plant sellers have been hit or miss for me, and I would have to say these were a hit.

Very healthy plant
The Jury's camellia arrived very well packaged with moist soil. The plant has a 19 inch high main stem as well as a 7 inch stem and 4 inch stem (3 stems total all from the soil). There is new growth on all stems and the plant is well rooted with roots protruding from the bottom. After settling for camellias from local nurseries, limited by what they had in staock, I was thrilled to buy one a really wanted. I expected a smaller plant but was thrilled with the healthiness of it. I will keep it in a container to start but will eventually add it to my garden collection. I recommend highly.

Do not recommend
The plant was well taken care of after I received it. Water regularly and died within 2 weeks.

nice plant
The plant is good, but my zone (5) is particularly challenging to care for during the wintertime. So, check your Zone before buying this; need at least Zone 7

They are beautiful!! I am so excited!!
I received my Camellia Sasanqua "Yuletide" last evening. I peeked at them because I wanted to see them, yet I knew I would be planting them in the morning. See the picture! They were delivered nice and neat (except one was upside down), but was all intact. They have buds for new leaves. I watered them heavily before I planted them. I made a "plant sign" so my neighbors could see that I am truly crazy doing this at the end of February. I dug my holes, cleared out the weeds, layed some Milorganite slow release fertilizer, a little dab of Hormongidin to encourage root growth, used some good potting soil as well as our own homegrown clay soil. I am so happy!!

Arrive healthy and start growing right away
I was a bit nervous to buy plants on line but since I cannot find this plant locally, I took a chance and bought it. The plant was carefully trim down before shipping, even though it was not two days shipping, the plant arrived healthy. I did not plant it to the ground immediately, I plant it in a pot and leave in on the deck. After one week, new green leaves start to appear. The plant look healthy. Make sure to check the cold hardiness zone of your area, Camellia won't survive Winter in Northern states. I live in Maryland and it is marginal, Camellia will tolerate the Winter but in exceptionally cold Winter days, they may need protection.

Camellia in 1 qt. pot lost all its leaves about 2 months after planting
These camellias in the 1 qt. pots were small but healthy looking on receipt. I planted these the same day I received them. I bought 2 of these, and after about 2 months, one of the plants lost all its leaves but seems to be alive (looks like just a stick in the ground). Hoping it will branch out and begin to grow in the spring. The other camellia appears to be doing fine - it has healthy looking green leaves but is still too small for flower buds. I love camellias but I like instant gratification, so I will only buy larger plants in the future.
