CiGuru CH002S Adjustable Cigar Analog Hygrometer 2'' Silver

This doesn't work at all. I just noticed that the needle doesn't move no matter what I do with the humidor. I thought the humidifier was broken, but after testing, it turns out the hygrometer doesn't work. Don't waste your money on this.

Bought 2 of these and neither would keep correct humidity! Both were at least 3 degrees off, even after adjusting the little screw on the back to show correct values they would still show incorrect readings within a week or so! Face showed pitting and rust after a month of high humidity also! Would not recommend to anyone!

I broke my old Hygrometer and needed to pick up a new one- this fit the bill perfectly. Much more solid than my old one and keep a relatively accurate reading (I use crystal gel).

This is a large hygrometer with a quality feel. Easy to set up using the salt test, and mine was fairly close with its reading. Adhesive metal for the magnet stuck solidly to my humidor's top.

I bought this as a general use hygrometer for the house, not to put in a cigar box. I wanted an analog device, so as not to have to replace batteries. Some people think that digital hygrometers are more precise, but in fact, the mechanical parts are analog and only the display is digital. I have been unable to find a good quality adjustable hygrometer in hardware stores.The CiGuru is made of metal and substantial. After removing the transparent rubber band blocking the side holes, I calibrated it using the wet salt method. It read 70 %. I turned the rear screw to add 5 degrees and put it back in the plastic box. After a few hours, it was stable at the required 75 % and ready for service. It responds well to even small changes in ambient humidityThe CiGuru hygrometer comes with a peel-and stick magnet so that you can affix it to the side of a fridge, for example. As it comes from the factory, the magnet side is stuck to the metallic back of the hygrometer, so it's easy to gain access to the adjusting screw. If you want to use the magnetic attachment, the sticky pad will have to be removed from the back of the hygrometer if calibration is required again. This is not ideal for long-term adhesion.
