It's an excellent book, very handy for beginners. It surely enhances word-power which is essential for correct and forceful expression of one's thoughts. What the book lacks is exhaustive vocabulary like, say, if a word has 15 to 20 words with same meaning, Merriam shows just 4 to 6 numbers. Also many many words of daily usage are often missing on the alphabetical list. Otherwise the book on the whole is quite useful.

don't expect much,as mentioned in comments, it does not Have anthonymss for all words but still has in detail synonyms and occational antonym, bookquality could be better,presentation of book could be in orderly fasion
