RUSTINS Small Job Gloss Paint Buttercup 250ml

Good coverage. Quick dry. Nice colour without any surprises

I bought this for a small job painting a loft door. The Sheen is nice, not too glossy and much more of an elegant finish than many other satin wood paints. It’s for interior and exterior which makes for a more durable paint. I completed my loft door and had enough in the small pot to paint a door and three door frames with some spare. This is perfect for what I needed it for and will be back for this again soon.

It was much darker brown than expected, almost black, hence four stars instead of five. Definitely not the chocolate brown shown on the tin, but it covered well, hopefully it will also weather well. It took just half of the small tin to paint two meter cabinets and a tap housing.

Always hate having old cans of half used paint lying around, so these small tins are perfect.I have used a wide range of this paint brand and like its quality and usable quantity , however offset to that is the tins are relatively more expensive.

I've been fixing up an old Post Office MailStar bike and I find the colour match to be great. Clean up is easy.The only thing I've found is that the coverage is not brilliant and I have to put on several coats. That may just be me doing it badly. However, since the paint dries so fast it has been easy to build up a good number of coats pretty quickly.Throughly recommend.

Good gloss after 3 coats and fast drying as it says on the tinBeware of the Color’s I got chocolate and it basically looks black, not at all like the brown door on the tin.As I started painting already I thought I’d just continue but it wasn’t the colour I wanted at all.First coat didn’t give any gloss effect so be prepared for 2/3coats for optimum results.As it’s a gloss coat I had to be very careful when removing my frog tape as the paint would peel right off!After asking around I cut around the area first before removing the tape but yes it is east to peel off so I hope it is durable … time will tell.If you want a dark brown id suggest buying elsewhere or buying one tin of white to brighten the brown colour which I would have done in hindsight.

Purchased this paint because I've always wanted a red doorAs other options are out atm (like buying a new red door) in the current climate I purchased this paint after reading previous reviewsYes it's a small tin of paint BUT I managed to get 2 coats on the front of the door 2 coats on my concrete step and another coat on the back of the door! 🤩The paint dries very quick and i had the "job done" in less than 2 hours!I don't feel i need to buy another tin and I am super happy with the results, colour and price!Buy it! 💯

Bought several tins of this paint now, because its so good.It seems a bit thin, but one small tin last a very long time, 2 coats leave a lovely, tough finish.So pleased I bought other colours just in case I can find something else to paint :)Well worth the money, highly reccommend.
