OEM Mania 5221ER1003A NEW LG Washer Water Inlet Valve Replacement - Replaces 5220FR2075L, 5221ER1003A, 5221ER1003C, 5221ER1003D, 5221ER1003F

When our LG washer suddenly started leaking, the original valve was the culprit. This replacement valve installed quickly and works perfectly. Just had to wait a couple of days for delivery.

Works as described. No complaints

Water was leaking from my LG Washer. LG has a number of videos online that help you diagnose and sometimes fix problems. There are a number of possible reasons that water might leak. In my case it was a faulty cold water fill valve. I found an OEM replacement on Amazon, ordered it and received it the next day. It took about 30 minutes to install- if I had to do it again it would take less time. The leak has been repaired and the washer is working fine. If I had to call a repair person, who knows how long before they could get to me, then probably need to order the part, and come back another day (or week!) to install it. This was well worth the $25 and about 30 minutes of my time, compared to the cost of a service call (the washer is out of warranty).

Easy to install and works great.

This didn't fit my washing machine. Unfortunate, not just because of the extra time before I get to fix my machine, but because the build quality on this part is amazing. I really wanted it to fit. Some of these valves look scandalously similar. If this looks like your part and appears to be the correct part number, consider this to avoid further disappointment: Is the old part AC or DC? It'll say on the sticker on the part itself. Mine was DC 12 volts, and the males for the electrical connectors were about 4.6 mm wide. This replacement is AC 110/120 volts, and the males for the electrical connectors are about 6.4 mm wide. Fortunately, I was unable to cram the smaller female connectors onto these wider males, so I was forced to investigate deeper, discovering the AC/DC distinction. I'm glad I didn't try to file the connectors down to size! If you need the DC version of the valve that otherwise looks just like this one, you probably need to look for 5221ER1003S (not 5221ER1003A).

The valve assembly looks good built quality, but noisy. Easy to install, fit perfectly. When machine taking cold water it’s very, very noisy. It makes whistling loud noise, which is disturbing. Well, it stopped leaking, that’s why I give it four stars. But if you can find the original one go for it, even if you pay extra money. extra money.
