Great Sound, Great Price, Feature loaded.
Pros: The sound quality is excellent, as it's the selection of internet radio stations. The color screen displays station logos which are present for every station. When in standby, local weather information is beautifully displayed as well as stock ticker information (if configured in settings). The screen can dim after a time to save power and this brightness level can be adjusted for both normal display mode and power saving mode, to your own preference. Power saving brightness level is also the standby brightness level, so it's useful for nighttime use in a bedroom as a clock radio. There are a wide range of inputs possible: Internet, DAB, FM Radio, UDMP/DLNA (Network Media Player), Bluetooth, Linein and USB. There is also a lineout jack. The case feels very robust and has an attractive aluminium front grill. The volume/selector knob has a premium feel and is notched.Cons: The remote is not as premium feeling as the radio itself. There is a learning curve because some functions are counterintuitive. For example there is no "back" button on the remote. Instead, "back" is the left arrow of the direction pad. Also, I haven't found a quick way to revert to the "currently playing" screen if you decide to browse through the menu but then want to go back to the currently playing radio station view. Once you learn these quirks, you will have no problems though. It's a great looking and sounding feature packed radio which should last for years.

Good sound, good features, let down by some minor niggles
I bought this to replace my twenty year-old old bedside clock/radio/alarm and bring my waking experience fully intothe digital age.Setup was reasonably straight forward, a little fiddly at times, but within about 30 minutes I had managed toprogram the WiFi connection, DAB, Internet and FM radio stations to my liking and even managed to get the App to work!SoundSound quality is good, not top hi-fi grade perhaps but, for the product price range, I was more than satisfied. However the device has one major flaw - no headphone socket!!AlarmsIt comes with 2 independently programmable alarms. For each one you can choose the wake-up time, the sound source and the days of the week on which it will activate - so , for example you can have one alarm sequence set forweekdays and use the second for weekends or as a one-off alarm for exceptional occurrences. When the alarms are set you will get a small icon for each showing on the display screen. You will also seethe wake-up time displayed next to the icon but this time will only show if that alarm is scheduled to go offwithin the next 24 hours - e.g. my weekday alarm icon will show 6:30 on the screen Sun-Thursday evenings, but showmy weekend wake-up time 08:00 next to the second icon on Fri & Sat evenings. Alarms come with a 5 minute snoozefunction. An additional 'Nap' alarm can also be programmed you wake you up in 5,10,20,30,60 or 120 minutes timeThere is also an alarm volume setting - this applies to all alarms and cannot be set for individual ones. Finally there is a timer alarm which will sound a (very loud) alarm bell after the specified number of seconds.MediaIn addition to providing separate function to listen to DAB/FM/Internet radio there is Bluetooth capability(worked well with my IPhone), a line out jack socket (to feed the sound through an Amp) an AUX-in jack socketand a USB socket. The USB socket allows you to play files from a memory stick or through Windows Media Centre or Google Play typecapabilities of your connected device (I have not tried out this function). What is does not do it providethe capability of plugging in your phone and playing your music directly through the phone's music app.It does however provide a handy means of charging your connected device.ControlYou can either control the device using the remote control or the knobs and buttons on top.I generally found it easy and intuitive to learn, with a few minor quirks:-When you switch to DAB the device automatically tunes in to the station listed LAST in your favourites listand not the station you last listened to or the station that is top of your favourites list. When you switch to internet radio no station is played automatically at all - you have to select.Internet radio allows you to tune into any on-line station in the world - except for BBC5 Live whichstubbornly refuses to connect.ScreenThere is a colour screen on the front which generally shows the time (In Analogue or Digital format as you prefer)plus the data and any alarm icons if alarms are set.The screen automatically dims if no buttons have been pressed for a certain time and you can set the light levelof the dimmed status. However the screen contrast fades if viewed from more than 45 degress from the side(you can still see the time but you cannot read the date bar along the top - it merges to a grey bar)Also the screen background appears black when viewed from the front but emits a low level grey glowwhen viewed at an angle - and this glow does provide unwanted, albeit low, illumination of your room at night.ReceptionFor DAB radio you need slightly better reception than for FM, the signal can also be temperamental and sensitiveto your immediate surroundings. I found that when next to a window I had no trouble picking up DAB signalsusing the attached telescopic aerial, but when placed next to my bed I could only pick up signal with the aerialpointing at a precarious angle over my bed. No matter, here's the solution - tune your radio in a location in yourhouse where the signal is good then move it to your desired location. You can then unscrew the attachedtelescopic aerial and instead use the attachment screw to connect a single strand of wire (I used 6ft of bell wire)to act as an improved aerial. Use some gaffer tape to secure the wire to the back of the radio so that its weight isnot hanging on the connection (see picture) and then, with the radio tuned to your desired station move the wire around to find a suitable angle to pick up the signal. If all else fails try a longer wire and hang the end out the window.SummaryA good quality radio with more features than I'll ever use! With a few minor niggles hence the 4 stars:-1. No headphone socket2. Poor screen contrast and backglow when viewed from the side.3. Some irritating inconsistencies in the menus - but could probably all be fixed via a software update.4. Could do with an external antenna connection

Update over one year on
So far only had for 4 days internet radio works DAB works FM a bit hit and miss may be reception in my area. Blue-tooth works USB works a little slow loading track slight delay on start but acceptable. UPNP linked up to my vortex music server and played tracks from the menu. Sound quality a bit of a surprise tried similar radios in a well known electrical shop around the same price and more expensive, not a patch on the sound of this unit yes strong bass as some other have said but can be adjusted manually in the menu to make it less intrusive. To put in scale I am a bit of a HIFI nut into sacd flac and HDCD in comparison this is not ever going to get near, you will always get what you pay for.But to say I was surprised at the sound out of such a small radio it put a smile on my face.As I have seen other reviews put forward on other products from this company, quality and reliability has been an issue and is a bit of a concern so this was a bit of a punt, so far early days it is working and be assured if this starts to go pear shaped I will update and revise my review I have marked 5 stars over all as at the moment good sound 5 stars as said a bit of a surprise for the price of the unit. 1 star for battery life as it has no battery's, durability 3 stars as to early to go one way or the other until it has proved itself over time.As I did read the reviews and make your mind up to is it worth taking a punt ?.Update one year on.still working well with no issues this has been in my partners care home for over one year and has not failed in any way would strongly recommend this product. Still 5 stars.
