UPDATE (4 months of regular use): The color retention isn’t mentioned in the description but now that I’ve had an opportunity to test them for a few months of 2x per week washing, I have some good news. The purple washcloths are now more of a lavender (more like the color in the ad) and are just as soft and well-composed as when I bought them. The only strings I’ve seen are from me ripping the tags off with my hands - I don’t have time for scissors. 🙃 I also don’t wash as directed, I wash on high with warm water and have not been nice to them at all. ORIGINAL REVIEW (Nov. 2017): Thanks to targeted ads (I can’t believe I’m saying that) I found AmazonBasics wash cloths. <<<I will not buy any other from here on out!!!>>> Do you like wasting money? Do you enjoy finding out you have spent $50 on 24 “luxury” towels only to find they don’t absorb anything, are poorly sewn, and like to rip/fall apart in the WASH when they’re not even being used? Yeah, me either. That has been my experience with two other companies, and given the reprehensible customer service experience I was ready to cut my losses and go to Walmart for junky, pilly rags that last a month at best. It appeared my efforts to eradicate wasteful paper towel spending had been thwarted. Then, my unnecessarily frugal (cheap) heart was spared! Now I only have to spend $50 a year as opposed to $60 per month just to clean up after my 5 little slobs. I have to be objective though, so here are the pros and cons, as well as a comparison on product description advertising versus REALITY. (Disclaimer: they explicitly state NOT to bleach, not sure why.) * Only had to wash whites one time and lavender two times to get rid of initial linting. * Used daily for following: - Floor mopping. - Dishes, pots and pans. - General baby and pet messes. - Hand towels for “nice” bathrooms. - Baby teethers and wiping up after meals. (Put a few ice cubes in damp washcloths and secure with hair tie - another money saver!) - Face towels after washing. - Makeup remover. - Water absorber under orchid pots. * Soft enough to use for face/body. * Just the right thickness so as to be able to lay over the sink and reuse. Other washcloths I’ve had were so thick you had to wash immediately after use or they would develop a musty stench. * End seams are done extremely well. Even with hard floor (and dog poo on cement) scrubbing, they don’t even threaten to shred or run...unlike the past two brands. * Tight weave, yet still soft. Makes for a strong towel that a dog and toddler can’t rip when they’re playing tug of war! * Thicker than expected for a cost-effective washcloth. It was difficult to get an accurate pic with not enough hands, but after washing and folding they’re about an in and a half in height. CONS * Amazon lists size as 12”x12”. As you can see in the photos, they are more like 11”x11.5. This was right out of package prior to washing and drying. * Lavender color was more of a deeper purple. See photos - not even close in color. But I don’t care, they work! Overall, these are an exceptional product for an exceptional price. They save me money, are nice in presentation rolled up in my guest bath, and are useful for literally everything without showing much wear and wash up like nothing happened. I am SO impressed. Seriously, look around on the site, you will see that you will pay double and triple for the same number of washcloths that don’t hold up as well. I swear on my kids’ lives I wasn’t compensated for this review. We just really like them. :-) Hope this was helpful!!

These Amazon Basics cotton washcloths are a great buy. They’re soft, a good size, and not too thick — perfect for everyday use. After washing them, they came out looking nice with no fraying or shrinking. For the price, the quality is honestly better than I expected. Definitely worth it!

I purchased these fast drying cotton wash clothes many times because nothing compares. They have wide ranges of usages, durability, wash up great after use and excellent for the price! They are good being stran resistant and wonderfully quality for cleaning house hold items as well as personal! The absorbent quality also is better than expected! I have separated some out for pet purposes of this order and others, they are soft and easy to use and happy tails ! I recommend these cotton clothes over others for attributes mentioned and more.

It's a washcloth. It does its job. They are a good blend of soft and abrasive. I like texture in my washcloths I want to be able to scrub and these work well. They are holding up just fine being washed often. I've had no problems with them, I wanted strong yet cost-effective washcloths and these are working perfectly. They hold water well and ring well. I got one set in white and one set in Black. They look nice.

These are surprisingly nice washcloths, especially for the price! They laundered nicely and had very little lint in the dryer. They are very soft as well and don’t feel rough at all the way a cheap washcloth does. I did not use fabric softener and I don’t plan to. They are well made and moderately thick. The 12” size stated in the description is likely a nominal size, these actuality measured 11 1/2” before washing and I measured all sides for squareness, and after washing they measured 11 1/4” on all sides, so there was minimal shrinkage and it was consistent to maintain the shape. I got Ice Blue and the color is beautiful. These will get a lot of use in our house.

Everything; color, quality, absorbency and thickness is better than any washclothes I've ever had. This was my second bundle. I bought the multicolored ones about 7 years ago for cleaning rags and I'm still using them today. This purchase of White was for bathing. They're soft with good drying time. LOVE THEM.

When the package arrived, I thought the towels must be really thin because the package was pretty thin and it contained twelve towels. But to my surprise, they are not thin at all. They are not plush, but they serve my purpose which is to wash my face, etc. and not being so plush makes them so much easier and faster just to air dry.

These are, as the name implies, basic washcloths. They do the job though. They are softer than I imagined and the color is great. We got these to replace washcloths in amazon basics towel set. The color matches perfectly, even though they were bought separately. The name might say basic, but these are good little washcloths at a good price.

Nice Thick and soft

I bought these for washing and drying my face as I have struggled with acne and wanted to be able to use a fresh cloth every time to minimise bacteria. The pack has a great amount of cloths so I am never short even though I use at least 2 per day. I have washed them multiple times and they still look brand new, the colours are really nice and have stayed fresh - even the white has washed up well after having coloured face masks etc on them. They are very nice and soft on your face and look and feel more expensive than they are. So far they are a great quality product to me for a great price.

Gute Qualität, da fusselt nicht es fühlt sich gut an. Die Farben sind haltbar, auch nach einigen Wäschen. Preis Leistung ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Son paños simples bastante pequeños, pero que cumplen perfectamente su función, no son tan absorbentes como una toalla de micro fibra, ni tampoco tan suaves. Para tareas de limpieza contra una superficie dura van muy bien. Personalmente las utilizo para secar el agua que salpica del acuario.
