Years Later—Still One of the Best Smart Floodlights Out There
I installed the Ring Smart Lighting Wired Floodlight a few years ago, and it’s been one of the most reliable outdoor lights I’ve ever owned. It’s extremely bright—more than enough to light up my driveway and yard—and the motion detection is accurate without being overly sensitive. What really stands out is the long-term durability. After several seasons of snow, rain, wind, and heat, it still works like day one. Being hardwired means no battery hassle, and once it was set up and connected to the Ring app via the Bridge, it’s been easy to manage and adjust. If you're already using Ring devices or just want a dependable smart floodlight that lasts, this one’s worth every penny. I’ve had zero issues, and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.

Don't look at them, dang they're bright!
Hello folks. This is my first review so bare with me.I did a lot of research on Ring and how amazon now owns them and that's not a bad thing. Ring is definitely getting popular and they haven't disappointed me.Ok I own a tri level home and the main device for Ring security is in the middle of the house, which is in the ground. The Bridge is in the living room which is the main floor and about 50 feet away. These lights are in the back and I have 3 of them about 30 feet apart. From the lights to the bridge is pry another 50 feet. Each one installed excellent and when they needed to update and connect to the bridge, they did with no issue. If you're wondering about the brightness, good lord don't. I live in the country where there is no lights. You can turn these on from your alexia device or right when you step out. They are bright. Also, they owners Manuel says it'll blink twice to let you know it's updating. Please give it 10 or 20 seconds to come on as I flipped the switch and freaked out as they didn't come on. Well they did and blinded the holy crap out of me. So yeah they're brighter then those projector lamps on them fancy cars. The Bridge worked great for these lights but if you get the front porch little lights, they will give you a fuss. Every one of them took a half hour to hook up. Anyways they are great lights.Hope this helped you folks. Oh, if you're concerned about the lights and how to change them, don't worry about it. They're LED. That's 100,000 hours of light. You don't need replacements. Also, the person that is ticked about the time they stay on has an issue with how he set them up in his app. They never shut off if you're near them. Once you go in, they will count down to the set time you put them at.That is one thing, understand the app and options before blaming the product. More then likely, it's operator error.Technology is awesome but also can make you pull your hair out. Saying that. Take your time, keep that paper with the barcode and enjoy what you bought. Before you know it, you'll have a smart house.Take care to all that reads this. I've enjoyed giving my 2 cents.

Dependable
Works great and we have had it over a year , just getting a pinkish picture and video now from it which I read is common. There is some kind of fix for it if you google it.Other than that good sensitivity alerts,

Works well - installation not the easiest
i had installed Ring floodlight cameras prior to installing the regular floodlights. Both the floodlight cams and regular floodlights work and integrate into the system well together. My only complaint so far (after 1 week of use) is that the installation of the regular floodlight is more tedious than the floodlight cam. My floodlight installation was complicated by a tall (second story) height. i was on an extension ladder with limited ability to reach everything easily. The main difficulty involved installing the very small fine thread machine screws that hold the unit to the base on the junction box. One has to hold the unit up in place with one hand while at the same time trying to start these small screws into a blind hole with the other. Kinda scary with no hands on the ladder up there. Very easy to do at ground level but hard on top of a second story ladder. This design should be changed somehow to make that easier for a homeowner to do and to provide more spares screws in case they tumble down to the ground (which they will). The fasteners on the floodlight cam were hex nuts that were much easier to work with.In summary i can recommend these lights for their intended purpose, but if you have an application that is on a second story or otherwise have difficulty reaching consider hiring an electrician to install them.

Amazing flood light and camera combo!
I couldn’t be happier with my Ring Floodlight Cam! From the moment I installed it, it’s been a game-changer for my home security. The floodlights are incredibly bright, providing excellent coverage in my backyard, and the camera’s video quality is crystal clear, even at night. The motion detection is super reliable and customizable, so I don’t get bombarded with unnecessary notifications. Plus, the two-way audio feature is really handy—I’ve already used it to tell a delivery driver where to leave a package.Installation took me about an hour, but the instructions were easy to follow. I also signed up for the Ring Protect Plan, and it’s been worth it for the video history and cloud storage. If you’re looking for a security device that combines functionality, reliability, and smart features, this is it. Highly recommend!
