LDX-218 Full Metal Gear Standard Digital Servo with 17kg High Torque Dual Ball Bearing for Robot(Control Angle 180)

Perfect for my application.

I'm using a pair of these to create a gimbal mount for a camera on a crawler. While it says 180 degree rotation, that requires the servo drive to go from .5 to 2.5mS. A RC controller and receiver combo is usually limited to 1.0 to 2.0mS, which produces 90 degrees of rotation. Understanding that, it works exactly as expected, and has plenty of torque for this application.

I am building a pan/tilt mount for a wyze v3 cam and the sg995 servos that came with the first mount were not strong enough to do the up/down movement. I bought this to try and not only did all the screw holes line up for my mount but this servo is a beast and easily lifts and lowers my camera. I can't really speak to the longevity of this servo yet but initial impression and using it, I'm very happy with it. I plan to buy more.

I bought six of these back around 2019 or 2020. they came with plenty of extra hardware and everything went together nice and easy. I just bought a couple more in 2024 and they had dramatically lowered the number of screws and nuts they provide. not to mention the quality of the hardware they provide is absolutely terrible. I had multiple screws break while gently screwing them in.

Excellent engineering, they stay cool under a heavy load and are quiet. I only hope they stay inexpensive because I'll probably require hundreds of them in the future.

These are very good servos. I’m using them to create a star tracking project for a camera and these have great accuracy.Highly recommended.

The item was listed as an LX-15D. I received an LDX-218 that didn't work. At 7V it just ticks when .5 or 2.5ms pulses are sent to it. At 1.5 it just sits quiet, probably because it was already centered.
