Perfect for 1 or 2 people. I love mine
This is a very cool little grill that does burgers and steaks awesomely. I sit the charcoal pan on a one burner propane stove for about 5-7 minutes to get it started without using any smelly fluid or gel. Then return the pan to the grill and let the fan do the rest. When the coals are ready I turn the fan speed down and add a couple of small chunks of wood to provide a good smoke. I cooked 2 rather huge t-bones this way and they came out a perfect medium with nice smoke flavor. When I'm done cooking I immediately shut off the fan and lay a heavy Gage piece of sheet metal over the charcoal to snuff it out which usually leaves me about half a pan of coals for next time. You only need 10 briquettes to start and you get to reuse about half so a bag of charcoal will last a very long time. Since the cooking surface is dome shaped it is a little tricky to cook things like sausages and corn on the cob but it can be done. Potatoes cut in half and slathered with butter do very nicely. Be sure to put water in the grease ring because it definitely makes clean up much easier. The non stick coating on cooking surface wipes clean with a paper towel and only occasionally needs the smoke vents brushed out. I even found a round grate that sits nicely inside the grease ring that allows me to use a skillet with this little jewel. It might have been nice if it came with a charcoal snuffer and round grate but it's still a very nice product that I expect to last a good long time. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.8/6/19 edit.Second summer and I still love this grill. Just made 3-5 inch cheeseburgers (one is in my tummy as I write this). Unfortunately the clip that holds the batteries in broke but that's nothing duct tape can't fix. I'm sure I'll get at least 2 more years of use. It's easy to get apart in case something gets stuck in the fan (I had that happen). Super grill for 1 or 3.

Best little grill!
I love this little thing so much! It’s super easy and manageable. I can easily move it anywhere I want. Cleanup is so easy! The food tastes great. I was skeptical about the whole thing. I honestly didn’t think it was going to work. lol I had been looking for over a year for a little grill that I could store on my porch and move around easily. I’m so glad I waited. This is so much better than the one I was considering. I love it so much!Love the accessory kit, too. I waited a little while before I got that part. Remember, I was skeptical about this whole thing. lol It’s definitely a nice addition to this amazing little grill. The only suggestion I’d make is I’d love a cover with a base with a top that latched down over the base. Think upside down bucket. I use it a lot, and I always cover it back up after it cools. A case where it was already setting on the base, and I just had to put the top over it and latch it, would be great and so much easier for this grillerette loving person.

I selected this grill for fast, low volume charcoal cooks. It delivers.
So I'll start with the negative. Some of the porcelain coating was chipped of the coal basket. Most likely due to rough handling in transit. Now the good. The grill gets hot fast! It performs as advertised. Very happy with the results. As an owner of 24 grills I don't give out compliments easily. Though not mentioned in the features, I was pleased to find a usb port for the fan in the event of battery failure. Want a little more smoke flavor? Just add your favorite smoking chips to the charcoal basket.

Fast, Efficient, Does Not Smoke Much, Great For Grilling
I am enjoying this grill and will continue using it. Finding the prescribed starter gel has been a challenge though I finally loaded up at Walmart. I had been using small pieces of fire starter cubes which cause a huge plume of smoke continuously until they died out. Now that I have switched to the recommended gel fire starter, the grill is essentially smoke free. The grill heats up fast because it operates as a forge with forced air. Unlike the Cobb grill that I also own, the length of time for cooking decreases significantly as does the ability to slowly cook meat. For grilling, this is a beast of a tool that is now my primary daily griller. For slower cooked meals, the Cobb seems to be superior.I am glad I purchased this as a quick grilling system for steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, bacon, vegetables, chicken, and kabobs. Unlike the Cobb, it does not have a solid griddle for eggs, pancakes or similar food that starts out as a liquid. Still, this is an outstanding steak or hamburger griller. I will be using this for many years.

This grill is a mini Chernobyl waiting to happen.
This was a little freaky. Put coals in the grill got the coals started and then went inside for less than 3 minutes. I came back outside and flames are shooting out the sides of the grill and black Plato you smoke is rising to the air. I get closer and find that the fire had somehow gotten inside the fan area of the grill and was rapidly burning. Fun, interesting but super dangerous and less than useful to cook food with. Save your money.

Good Grill but Over-Priced and Doesn't Live Up to Expectations
On the plus side, this is a well-made, aesthetically pleasing grill that is easy to use, produces good results, is easy to clean and appears to be durable (although time will tell on that). That said, I have some buyer's remorse. I don't think this was worth $180 with the additional accessory kit. For me, the selling point was "90% less smoke" . I live in a ground floor apartment with a large, screened in patio; however, my upstairs neighbor's patio is directly above, so a standard grill would would be too smokey. In this regards, the Grillerette Pro is a bit of a disappointment, as it gives off a pretty significant amount of smoke. I can't measure the amount of smoke compared to a standard charcoal grill, but observationally it appears to be much less than a 90% decrease. I have to use a large fan to blow the smoke out, to prevent it from going up.I'm also pretty sure the thermometer in the lid is not working properly. The first few times I used the Grillerette Pro, I was concerned that the temperature never registered above 200 and usually closer to 100 to 150. However, food cooks fine on the grill, leading me to believe the thermometer is inaccurate or defective.
