Shoe Obsession

I just opened this tome of shoe knowledge and I’m already hooked. What so far I love the most is that the two Queen authors Colleen Hill and Valerie Steele aren’t squeamish about sex and fetish, and it’s about time! As humans we are creatures of pleasure and it’s high time we all (men & women) embrace both fashion and fetish in a consensual positive way

Colleen Hill does a fantastic job with this beautiful collection of 'feet objects.' The photographs are stunning and the history is fascinating. This is a must-have book for anyone who is interested in fashion history, design history, accessories, shoes of course, but also for anyone who just wants to look at something beautiful!I may not be able to walk in heels over four inches but at least here I get to appreciate their beauty!

If you LOVE shoes this book is definitely a must have! I really enjoyed this book. I found out so many interesting facts about shoe designers that I never knew.

If you have a shoe fetish and or a collector .. it's a must!

Despite the focus on "Obsession," which apparently came from the NY FIT show of the same name, thisbook is very informative and well worth reading for those who have a general interest in the subjectmatter. The book is well written, provides insightful historical, psychological and other perspectiveson high heel shoes and boots. In addition, the authors treat us with a judiciously chosen, exquisiteplethora of photos--some of items featured at the show. They strategically insterspersed them in thetext to make their point--if there was ever a need. It is a pleasure for the eye of shoe and bootlovers at large and a good read!

I purchased this book as a gift for my shoe obsessed daughter. She loves it. It's a great combination of intellectual and artistic content.

A most informative and entertaining book which is well illustrated and the next best thing to being at the exhibition.
