Good socks
Love the socks. Comfortable, warm, cushion the feet well.

Best hiking sock I've ever purchased over past decade.
This sock has exceptional comfort and durability (I wash my hiking clothes at "Extra Hot" setting). In addition the ankle length is long --comparable to "Darn Tough" in years past (now ankle length has been shortened by an inch or so without notice on its packaging).

Very comfortable. They are very tight around the top
When I buy socks that fit over boots, I always cut the "cuff" off at the top. I have some very expensive sewing scissors that do that without making any kind of mess. Generally when I do that, it's just a clean cut. There's no unravelling with any of the socks I've had before, whether wool or bamboo or blends, even after a year of washing regulary. These, I'm not so sure about. At the top, they split into two layers. I haven't worn or washed them yet, so will have to see how they perform.

Embraced
From the moment I put on a pair, my feet felt embraced. I usually kick my shoes off every time I come into the house, just to relax and cool my feet. But I felt so good all day, I was reluctant to take shoes off and remove these comfortable socks even at the end of the day! These are not socks one just pulls on. No. They are shaped like a foot, a woman's foot even if a large one. Each part of the sock is designed to hug a specific part of the foot. Remember tube socks? This is the opposite! My only wish for a change would be a color palette that matches jeans: light blue denim, dark blue denim (not navy) and black.

Thick and soft, with compression
I didn't order these socks to go hiking, but primarily to wear around home as a slipper replacement. They are nice and thick at the ball of the foot, the heel and along the Achilles - all places where blisters are common when walking or hiking long distances.I also notice that they provide very nice compression from the ankle down. Due to my age and my desk job (computers), I tend to have issues with swelling in my feet/lower legs by the end of the workday; normally I wear knee-high compression socks reduce the swelling, but I noticed that wearing these socks keeps my feet and ankles in good shape. As a final perk, the colors very nice and true to the photos.

Relief for 12 hours in cheese maker boots
The support provided by these socks are the difference between aching at the end of a 12 hour shift or being ready to go do more. When they wear out, I really notice and happily replace them. I’ve bought 10 pair over the last couple years. I wash them and air dry. Never had any problems with holes until they’re wore out. (You can see the heel holes in my picture where they get thin from my work boot rubbing.) These are the only socks that stand up to a 12 hour shift. Moisture wicking and stink free. Worth every penny.

These socks are very durable and very comfortable.
The support they give makes hiking and walking very comfortable. My feet were not sore or blistered. Love the walking comfort!

Too snug in the legs.
I like the socks, it’s just that they’re a rather tight fit around the leg. I’m average weight for my height, my legs aren’t skinny, but they’re not heavy either. I’d like these much better if there was more give in the leg area. The fit in the foot is just right, so if your legs are thin, these might be perfect for you.
